You guys "fixed" the only thing that helped us coped with mods and we didn't have any source of exotics. I just got my first exotic but now if I get another it won't be excitement, it'll just "well it's about time :/" just going to wonder when the next one will come along. I really don't even try to get exotics because there is no way to get exotics. Same with mods, yea i know they drop in weapons but what if the weapon that dropped was a high light? Are you going to dismantle it for the mod on the item that will raise your level? Or are use it to raise your light and use master work cores either way you kind of lose. I'm just saying. It's more of a relief then excitement at this point
Edit: sorry about the grammar, bad phone keyboard
Edit: im referring to components Btw

Mod components should just cost glimmer. Simple fix.

1 ReplyI just buy mine from Banshee 44 at the tower.
-
5 RepliesNeeding that counter balance mod :(
-
20 RepliesMods cost 10 legendary shards and little bit of glimmer..... ;)
-
This is just another aspect of a way too steep and punishing economy they've implemented with Forsaken in order to slow players down and artificially inflate the longevity of their content. Like I need to dismantle 10 mods in order to buy a single one from Banshee? -blam!- off, Bungie...

1 ReplyI have so many mods from dismantling. A lot of the 500pwr gear from random activities usually have mods on them. Dismantling will give you the mod.
-
12 RepliesYou get moods directly from dismantling gear now it seems. Which is fine. Get see gear.

2 RepliesThere’s an easy but time consuming farm for mods, buy whatever planetary resource spider is selling for legendary shards, spend 300-500 shards then go to the planet, turn em in, you’ll get weapons that will drop mod components when dismantled, as well as a semi decent chance of getting masterworked year 1 weapons that you can dismantle for cores, plus you get a fairly decent amount of legendary shards back.

Yeah I ran into a situation where I tested what would happen if you infused a weapon with a mod on it because I was running the nightfall and needed a higher light solar weapon. Lost a boss spec and was mildly disappointed. Really wish I paid attention and realized that mods were changing in year two, as I had almost all of my mods unupgraded so I had the rng to get mod components instead of guaranteed drops. Can't really afford to put mods on anything until I decide on what to use, because the gunsmith does not offer anyway to get them, quest or otherwise.

30 Replies...you can literally buy mods
-
8 RepliesIf you reacquire the Braytech RWP Mk.II and dismantle it, it will give you a mod component.
-
I've been getting absolutely nil in mods. I played Vanilla D2 all the way up until forsaken. Have barely any mods anymore. And 10 components to buy is a super high number to reach when you barely get any mods
-
All through y1 I spent my glimmer on blue mods. I have a few of every y2 mod and still have 700 some components available.

your luck must be as bad as mine because I have a shitload of mods and in my 170 some odd hours in forsaken have only one exotic
