Can you over work your muscles? I know stupid question. And can over training your triceps decrease your ability to bench? I’m struggling with 135lbs for a few reps on flat bench, even tho I tend to warmup with that exact weight. It only been happing this weak so far and prior to chest day I went hard on arm day, and worked out my triceps the most. And I work out my triceps a lot cause they are small compared to my biceps, I heard that it’s suppose to be 2/3 triceps but for me it’s 2/4 bicep. Genetics? Please help.
Edit: if it helps solve my problem for the past 3 weeks I switch from working each muscle group 2x a week, to 1x a week but added 2-3 days of full body calisthenics.

Give time for the muscle to regenerate. About 2 days should be good for a full recovery. If you workout until you basically can't lift anymore, rest is the best I can tell you to do. Also, try asking a trainer what is the best to do. They are the pros in the end and know much more about muscle than anyone may on these forums
