Crucible is damn joke now!
Says someone after literally every single update. Just shut up already.

Fake news. I've had no issues with any update until this one. In fact, you children usually label me a Bungie defender.
-
The fact that you just used the phrase "fake news" makes me think youre no good at this game and your opinion should not even matter at all lol
-
Ok snowflake

lol i bet youre watching fox news and wearing ur maga hat now in ur trailer park lmao

Yes, YOU haven't had any issues with other updates, but there's always SOMEBODY who does. When will you realize that and understand why Bungie did the change? You're in the minority. Just accept it.

Look, if you like it great. But stop with the "majority" bullshit. The forums are not the majority of anything, neither is reddit. The "majority" of people that play games do not spend time on forums. VOCAL MINORITY It swings in all directions, and Bungies problem is that they make changes based on those people and not on solid design principles. Special weapons are not primary weapons. So maybe they were not power weapons either, but dumping them into primary and secondary slots was a BAD design decision, even if appeases SOME of the vocal minority. In both PvE and PvP, there are better ways to balance, or unbalance the game. They got it half right. The way special ammo drops and classifying them as special weapons is a GOOD design decision. It allows for their use and the a choice of play styles. Having them in the primary and secondary slots is a BAD design decision. One, it crowds the secondary slot, and eliminates a bunch of loadout options for people who like the idea of having two types of primary and a choice of variety in the power/special areas. Allowing two special/power weapons to be active at the same time is a bad idea. Because it trivializes the choice in regards to engagements, both PvE and PvP. Essentially just upping the ammo count and spreading across two weapons. So using three shotguns is not a matter of utility. They all do the same thing. It's a matter of having a continuous stream of shotgun ammo. Just spread out over three slots. That's not strategy. That's not even convenient. If power weapons had had deep reserves in both PvP and PvE, or if there were ammo bricks, then the limitations of having them as power would not have been an issue. But that would have caused the same problems as D1. Too much potential DPS with no downside. So the hunt and gather special ammo idea is perfect. You can keep using the weapon as long as you can get the ammo, which is not time based, but kill based. Brilliant. But, as I said. Dumping them in the primary and secondary slot is bad. Because not only does it take up space, it ignores the purpose of those weapons, making primaries have less overall usefulness. The BEST part of the D2 weapon system were the defined roles for guns. The flaws came when they balanced weapons outside of those roles. Gravaton Lance is not OP because of it's TTK. It's OP because it sits along side scout rifles in it's range with no real downside. THAT comes from removing the third shot. It was ALWAYS OP, IF you could get the third shot. That made it a more skillful weapon. Same thing with Uriels in its prime. It could compete at range with just about anything. Suffering none of the downsides of other AR's. Now it is a bit more in line with where it should be. THAT is how you balance something. Make it good at what it should be good at. Clearly defined rolls. Hell, that's why the subclasses tend to be hit or miss. When they get boiled down to a comparison of what other subclasses can or can't do. No. Each one should be good at it's thing, with others being the natural counter. Weapons, subclasses, etc. That is how this game should work.

Funny how the forum in both general and feedback sections is filled with people hating this.
-
That's because people only come here to complain. Nobody comes here to say changes are good, they only come here to say what changes are terrible. I've almost never seen a post about anything good Bungie has done. People who are enjoying the changes are playing the game, not coming here to talk about it. That's the main problem with things like this. Honestly, I think Bungie should just ignore the forums and reddit entirely. The feedback they get is so inaccurate to what people actually think that it's just not worth paying attention to.
-
I think they should as well. If they did we wouldn't have this trash update.
-
The player numbers don't lie. People stopped playing the game. It could be for other reasons, but it would make sense that it's mostly because of the problems people have brought up. The 2 main reasons people stopped playing were that we didn't have random rolls and we didn't have the old weapon system.

Edited by BADMAGIK: 8/31/2018 2:30:19 PMOne of the biggest components in d1 was the friggin weapon slot system. Why the hell do you think it was changed for d2? You and others are fn delusional and need to take off your rose tinted goggles.
-
They changed it because they thought it was a problem, but it clearly wasn't. People stopped playing the game. Now that things are changed back, people are playing more. If you really hate the new system you can always just go back to using 2 primaries. One of the nice things about the new system is that it allows so much more freedom. You can do whatever you want, so there isn't a huge reason to complain.
-
How dumb are you? Honestly.
-
Edited by PkmnGymLeader: 8/31/2018 2:34:55 PMWow, is that really the best thing you can come up with? This debate is clearly over. If you can't come up with anything else to say then I've pretty much won the argument.
-
Edited by BADMAGIK: 8/31/2018 2:37:11 PMYou're arguing I should use other weapons if I dont like shotguns. You're an idiot. The problem is the spam from all players. It's not balanced.

You must suck at crucible and probably used VW and Glance before and thought u were good haha

No, the problem is we arent getting real feedback. we get exaggeration, warped perspectives and bias narratives. "
Such and such gun 1 shot me from across the map, i was full health and just popped my super and was in a healing rift, in a bubble and behind a wall"
when you have these kinds of posts treated as "the voice of the community" rather then just a Vocal Minority, we get equally exaggerated changes. Lets look at the end of destiny 1, players were complaining about abilities, calling trials and cruicble "ability spam simulator" special weapon being used as primaries and their OHK potential being abused. And what did we see in D2? Special weapons moved to power slot with other OHK weapons. Ability recharge times increased. You mentioned "they did this cause they thought it was unbalanced" and why do you suppose they thought that? Look at the overwhelming amount of negative feedback from the vocal minority.

I actually agree. Shotguns are too strong right now. Primary weapons can't really compete in most cases. Still, that doesn't take away from the fact that most people are absolutely loving the changes. I'm getting so sick and tired of seeing complaints on the forums, even when I agree with them. It just needs to stop.
