CHOOSE YOUR NEW SUBCLASS CAREFULLY

It was mentioned before that you won't have access to every new subclass for each class when Forsaken launches. When we get them, if they are timegated by weekly reset, 4-day cycle reset, we don't know, but keep what activities you intend on doing in mind in case all 3 are not available when you play said content. - For example: I plan on doing the raid when it first comes out. If I only have access to one or two subclasses by that time, I'm keeping the utility and lethality of the new subclasses in mind. - Hunters: • The new Nightstalker as more of a PvP subclass, though it seems fun to mess around with anywhere, it doesn't seem ideal in the Raid. The utility of an Orpheus Rig top tree Nightstalker is hard to pass up on • The new Gunslinger seems like a hybrid add clearing/damage dealer. I could be viable but not my first choice. Bottom tree Nighthawk Gunslinger will always be viable in Raids for boss damage and it'll get better with the Nighthawk buff for Majors/Yellow Bars. • The new Arcstrider is my first choice. It seems like just a buffed version of what we have with the utility of deflection attacks back at enemies. If Raiden Flux is as good with this as it is with the 2 current trees, this could be amazing in the raid especially if Raiden Flux increases the damage of deflected attacks as well. - Titans: • The new Striker, like the new Nightstalker above, seems more PvP oriented. It could have it's moments, but there seems to be better options. Roaming Titan slams for add control and double pulse grenades for DPS for example. • The new Sunbreaker looks like a solarfied Striker, hammer slams looks fun, but utility-wise it looks like top tree with melting point is the better option. • The new Sentinel is my choice. They are finally a true Defender in Destiny 2 along side top tree having a buffed Ward of Dawn. Put up that wall to protect yourself and teammates from damage while they focus on DPS. I imagine while you do this you'll be generating orbs like Sentinel Super blocks do now as well. This could be essentially in DPS situations. - Warlocks: • The new Super Saiyan--I mean Stormcaller looks really fun. However, from gameplay that we've seen it doesn't seem to last as long as I thought it would. I would need to know damage numbers before I can have a real opinion on it. Roaming Stormcaller will be getting a damage buff, so it could be more useful to go for add control instead. • The new Voidwalker looks like the new PvP oriented subclass for the Warlocks. It's a mix of the add clearing capabilities of a Stormcaller and potentially a decent amount of lethality to a single or multiple targets in the final blast. I'd need to see numbers for this Super as well • The new Dawnblade is my pick. It's arguably the first true Support class in Destiny. That support and utility traits could be unmatched in Raid situations, especially DPS situations. - - Of course, we don't know the effectiveness and numbers of all of these so things could change when we do. The main point of this post is for you to keep in mind of what you pick based on what you plan on doing just in case if they aren't all available to us for a decent amount of time. Have different opinions, what are you planning? Feel free to share, thank you!
