16 RepliesEdited by jag67etype: 8/3/2018 2:59:53 PMI agree with those that do not like being forced into the Crucible for the "celebration" gear. I thought Bungie recognized that PvE'ers do not like the Crucible. They were on the right track separating the PvE masterworks from the PvP masterworks. They are bringing out Gambit. Then they do this????? Bungie, this is making your "celebration" stink for the PvE'ers. Maybe I misunderstood. It was not a "celebration" but a "frustration". Forcing the super kills was a terrible idea and it should be removed or cut back to 5 at the most. I can probably get that in 2-4 hours of non-stop Crucible. 30 is just stupid. It is especially stupid when combined with the other requirement for just killing 10. Why have that 10 kill requirement at all if you are going to force us to kill 30 with a super before the "celebration" ends. Someone at Bungie needs to look at the amount of time it is taking ALL players (especially those that spend so little time in the Crucible) to complete that objective and reassess it QUICKLY!! All this is doing is allowing the PvP'ers to complete it more quickly than the PvE'ers because they have more "PvP'ers to super since we are being required to enter if we want to "celebrate" too. You took something that should have been fun and made it irritating. I pushed buttons ("played" is not the right word) for MANY hours and only got to 57% with only 1 of my 3 characters. 1 hour of Crucible = 7% on another character. The % of swear words during that hours was much greater. Edit: After consideration, I'll just be putting this "celebration" armor in the vault and moving on. I completed everything but the super Crucible kills and it is just not worth the aggravation. One PvP'er said, "If you dont want to do it then dont do it." Probably good advice, though he was likely not meaning to be helpful. Regarding the achievements, I did the Leviathan once with a group of really nice people (clan members of a friend). Not really expecting to get the reward for doing it twice and that's ok. The armor should have been different. I think my achievement score is at 280 (I know it is over 250 for a shirt I won't pay for). Bottom line, no armor or armor upgrades. So Bungie, what do I have to "celebrate"? As far as the Redux, I partnered with a friend's 10 year old son and did not find it bad at all. Ran them all on all 3 characters. 2 people can get through them the first time without too much trouble. I won't have the opportunity to see or comment on the repeats with other modifiers. I like the one comment where the person suggested an alternative such as "x" number of super kills in the PvE. Maybe Bungie will actually consider that someday and separate the achievement paths better. The masterworks was a really good start and I hope the promise of Gambit is realized though I can see some PvP'er ruining that for me too. As for this event, thanks Bungie for nothing (no armor and a shirt I won't buy). I wish you better luck next time adding something of real value for the PvE'ers with less than 5 other online gaming friends who have lives outside the gaming world. While waiting for Forsaken I get to be reminded of what I'm missing every time I go to the tower. That's not "celebrating" anything for players like me. Ending the season on a sour note.
