Having to play the same 5 missions a total of 33 times isn’t a “good grind”.
Repeating the same content over and over is how some people conceptualize the idea of grinding but actually it gets boring to do the exact same thing over and over. I really like the idea of having rewards that get better as you complete tasks, there were some bad task choices on the solstice armor, but I think the worst one is having to play the same old story missions 33 times.
The first time it was cool to see the missions again, the second it was cool to see the difficulty bumped a little. Both times were interesting. By the time I was on my second set I had the missions memorized and it was boring again.
Edit: Let me explain the math real quick. It’s 33 TOTAL not the same mission 33 times. To complete a set on each class you have to run:
Homecoming 3 times + 2 times each character = 9 times
Spark 6 times
Payback 6 times
1 au 6 times
Chosen you guessed it, 6 times
6+6+6+6+9 = 33
English

3 RepliesI can barely bring myself to try to get one character through this. I don’t know why Bungie has this idea that we love to be made less powerful than we already are or want everything to be a massive grind. I want them to give us something to complete where they give us anything that gives us an advantage. I hate the Renown thing in Faction Rallies, now they give us this. I got Destiny cause it looked like fun shooting things and having super powers. D2 made me really regret putting so much time into this franchise.

Destiny 2 is nothing more than a time wasting simulator. FYI, once you reach 400 you aren't any more powerful than you are at 385. Whoever -blam!-ed that up can suck a fat dick.

The green set was fine but the blue set was just so much harder to do. Everything took almost a whole magazine just to kill.

4 RepliesDid you run them solo? I am and are already frustrated as hell ,those missions on the blue armor set are crap to do. I am just an average player and they take to long or are to hard for me to keep them on a fun level. A real shame , i thought i could get back into Destiny , but nothing changed ,if you dont have friends to play it with it a shitty game. They tease us with good looking armor sets only to get me frustrated of never getting close to getting them. So back to warframe again , Bungie can forget me buying there next dlc.

I likely won't masterwork the armor, I don't care that much about any of it go to through the hassle. And damn sure ain't doing that on all three characters... -blam!- all of that noise. All that Cruciblow...no no nope -blam!- that.

3 RepliesHave you played monster hunter world? Same mission over and over and over and over again to get your armor/weapon. Why does it work there and not here? The missions are interesting and killing the monsters is always a different feel since you don’t know how he’ll attack. You may have an idea, but every once in a while, it just wombo combo’s you and you just want to get back it. Which makes interesting.

Easy fix for them would have been to have different missions for the rare gear

3 RepliesHow do you get 33 times? I only did them twice on my hunter to get the legendaries. If I do the other two classes that will be a grand total of six times. 3x2=6...
