Shiro-4. It’s obvious once you realize there were leaked voicelines from way before CoO from all of the characters we know now about Cayde’s death and from Shiro himself.

Shiro-4, he is the only one that finishes off the representation of race and class. He is an Exo, and a Hunter. Though, come to think of it, It would be good if the Hunter Vanguard is not an Exo, to create conflict between Exos and humanity. Would be interesting.

Assuming it's a character that we know, Shiro from Rise of Iron is the only one that makes any sense.

Shiro-4 Cayde’s protégée, represents the exo race and he’s essentially an assassin of fallen which suits the next expansion in many ways. Would also be able to reintroduce the trespasser back into the game.

I see there are a lot of Shiro fans, which is a shame, because Shiro is the last person I would ever want to have to listen to on a regular basis. Not only is the character boring, but the voice acting is atrocious.

6 RepliesFirst choice: Shiro. He's pretty boring, but with the story getting darker, having no levity with the Vanguard makes more sense. Besides, Bungie created him for a reason, maybe this is it. Second choice: Efrideet. She's a long shot, but she's popular, and has a way of showing up when needed. Third choice: A new character.

I'd love to see Shiro take his spot. Realistically though, I bet Bungie will find some contrived way to bring in Hawthorne as the new Hunter Vanguard, Guardian or not.

2 RepliesShiro-4. Every other Hunter people are suggesting are too wrapped up in their own stuff to actually be a good Hunter Vanguard, let alone accept the position in the first place. MyNameIsByf's video on this subject breaks it all down very nicely.

Most likely Shiro-4 since he's both a Hunter and an Exo, so they still complete the unique trio.
