Depends on the game. Some games are very good at handling their vanilla content and DLC, while others apparently think it's fine to release incomplete games and charge more for more lackluster content. I tried Warframe and honestly had a hard time really getting into it, so I turned toward other games. What I did play, however, was pretty great, especially for having so much good content for free.
