Let’s see how many of you actually prefer getting ripped off. Team Warframe.

God dang this got more attention than I was expecting

I prefer Warframe

2 RepliesEdited by epicperon: 7/29/2018 8:39:34 PMI’d rather pay money for a good game than play a mediocre one for free
-
3 RepliesNeither. New Vegas + DLC was cheap as hell ($20 steam sale) and has no mtx. Checkm8
-
60 RepliesThere are a lot of variables that you aren’t giving us. How does the other game play? What genre is it? How much grinding? Are these story DLC? Etc.
-
7 RepliesI prefer a game like Prey or DOOM.
-
1 ReplyIs the full priced game good? You aren't being very specific. You could be describing The Witcher 3 for all I know.
-
2 RepliesThis is a bad poll. You didn't specify anything about the paid game. I just chose Warframe because I'm familiar with it.
-
4 RepliesWarframe is more of a game for people that have time to sink thousands of hours into one game. I dont have that kind of time, used to play it, but it requires WAY too much maintenance for me to care anymore.
-
5 RepliesLook I love warframe and think it's one of the most well done games, especially for a free to play, but can we chill with the crusade? Remember, Borderlands 2 used to be the "warframe" of its time and it cost full price and a seasons pass. No regrets buying the mini DLCs either.
-
2 RepliesRipped off? So every game besides Warfame is bad now? I spent roughly $160 on Borderlands 2 and regret nothing.
-
5 RepliesIf the game is good I’ll play it. However I want to know exactly what I’m getting when it comes to a season pass or how micro transactions are implemented. For example D2’s annual pass, I have no idea what I’m buying, there is no choice but to buy it and hope you won’t be disappointed, in a case like this I just won’t buy it.

9 RepliesEdited by Bake8935: 7/20/2018 5:03:05 PMI’d rather play just about anything other than Warframe, regardless of cost.
-
5 RepliesLmao op that didnt go as planned, did it?

1 ReplyPawn Stars Simulator is one of the worst games I’ve played in my entire life. It’s sad because it has/had so much potential to be good, but it’s ruined by paywalls limiting your enjoyment and the “variety” that you fanboys brag about so much. There’s not much variety if you’re subjected to either paying real money for inventory slots or haggling with some sweathard to get 10 plat for something that took you a week or more of grinding to get.
-
1 ReplyIt actually depends on the pay-to-play game. If the game were D2, I would choose Warframe at the moment. If the game were Fallout 3, I would choose Fallout 3.
-
1 ReplyNot many things peeking my interest in terms of what I want to play right now. I'm still playing warframea lot. All the other great games I've already beat or played to death... or they're dead now (destiny 1) and nothing new looks too interesting. I'll go with warframe.
-
18 RepliesDepends on what full priced game we are talking about. For example with ESO I've bought two collectors editions, 4 dlcs and another expansion. All of which I'm happy with thanks to the amount of content from the get go.
-
1 ReplyThe way Titanfall two did it. Base game + non invasive, non random, cosmetic only MTs that don’t replace the progression system + FREE dlc
-
1 ReplyDepends on the game. Some games are very good at handling their vanilla content and DLC, while others apparently think it's fine to release incomplete games and charge more for more lackluster content. I tried Warframe and honestly had a hard time really getting into it, so I turned toward other games. What I did play, however, was pretty great, especially for having so much good content for free.
-
2 RepliesThis is a problem I have with the community. These two games can't be put together. I play both and enjoy both. Comparing the two is basically the equivalent of me rolling my head on a keyboard trying to start arguments online. It's stupid.
why not both?
-
1 ReplyI honestly don’t like warframe but I can see why people like it
-
1 ReplyI just got back into warframe, after I spent months learning how everything worked, proper farming, and using my mods correctly
-
Played Warframe for a while but never really got into it that much, their attitude with the community is just brilliant, but I just didn't personally enjoy it that much. Besides i'm happy paying full price for certain games if i really want to play them, it depends on the game really, Warframe seems to be an outlier of a F2P game that's actually good.

2 RepliesMy preference is games that you buy for $60 that have no microtransactions of any kind. Where you earn everything in game not through RNG or time played, rather skill. The ones that offer the players tools to create their own content within the game itself. When harmless and fun glitches aren't patched. The games where I can spend a couple years playing without being bored all the time. DLC being map packs or new story content, weapons, etc.
My last statement would split the playerbase. However I feel the core playerbase would purchase DLC if they truly love the game.
10 RepliesI see this one has not played the Handsome Collection. Let me enlighten you, young light. For the price of 16 bucks at the moment, you can buy this wonderful game. Wait, game? Huh, that doesn’ sound right. Ooooh ye I remembered. It has two games. My bad. God, sometimes I forget that due to the low price. Alright, two games but there was something else... hmm... Oh right! Five big dlc to add a shit ton of new loot, bosses, and maps. Damn that’s cool. Oh, cosmetics too? Cool, cool. Wait, there’s more? Can’t be. No way. They have five more smaller dlc that introduce new bosses and maps. Damn. Wait, you say that there’s more? Oh, right, can’t forget about the added arena dlcs. Oh -blam!-, there’s even level expansions with a new Raid on Digistruct Peak to up the difficulty of the game if it ain’t hard enough for you!

I play whatever the hell I enjoy. Full priced or otherwise.
