Remember back when bungie said that 40% of pvp players will be able to get the claymore? Well, here is the truth so far.

First pic shows that yesterday we had 502.9k people playing crucible yesterday.
2nd pic shows that only 2,874 players have the claymore.
3rd pic shows 1% of 502k. And that number is 5,020.
Currently, not even 1% of players have the claymore.
I’m one of the less than 1% of players, but even I can see that bungie made a mistake with their predictions of how many people were going to get the claymore.
At first I liked the idea of losing points in glory. It reminded me of the old halo 3 ranking, where you go up for wins, and down for losses. However, the killer is the loss streak.
We’re pretty far into season 3. I wonder if even 1% of players will get the claymore. If bungie thought 40% of players would be able to get the claymore, then they shouldn’t have put in any kind of streak.
EDIT
Did some more math. As it stands right now, only 0.57% of crucible players have the claymore.
EDIT#2
I went through and found out how many people of that 502k crucible players, and looked at how many are actually playing competitive.
There are currently 258,981 players with a glory rank of at least 1. I’m sure that number is higher, if you count the players who play competitive, but can’t get a win. However, that player count, is unknown, so we will go with the number above.
This still shows that only 1.1% of players playing competitive, have the claymore.

4 RepliesIts available all season, still 3 months to go mate. Maybe we'll hit that 40% and maybe not but you can't expect it already, not even halfway through the season.

3 RepliesEdited by iMisai: 6/19/2018 4:46:04 PMI have 600 glory and the number needed is like 2000. Im just plain too fvckin lazy to go that long

There are many things wrong crucible. I just hope Bungie’s solution is to give away special rewards without an adequate grind.
-
I agree with what you say completely BUT in the end I am one that doesn't have it and has no plans of having it and yet I don't really care either. Loot in this game over the years has proven to be a useless chase. It is either left behind in short order or nerfed into the vault.

2 RepliesEdited by Amazinite: 6/19/2018 4:07:26 PMBungie needs to see this. The current Glory system Is complete BS. If 40% of the player base is expected to get the gun, why tie the gun to a rank that relies on how good a TEAM or people is, not how good the individual player is? Trials is for testing how good your team is, so we don’t need another mode just like that. Competitive ranking should be an individual ranking based off of something like efficiency, not your win/loss ratio that is at the entire mercy of the blueberries you get paired with and whether or not your opponents are stacked. I hope they update the ranking system and allow us to get another shot at the Redrix. Otherwise, it’s complete BS that they would be fine with like 4% of people getting the gun by the end of the season when they said it would be 40%!

3 RepliesPretty sure it's a common misconception that Bungie said 40% of the player-base will get a Redrix. I haven't seen one instance where they were actually quoted this; only 3rd-party sources have reported it. Besides, I appreciate that 1% or less of the population has this item. There is currently no point in doing most of this game's end-game activities because the loot is not worth it, or is just too easy to obtain. Wish there were more items in the game that were insanely hard to get, locked behind every game mode, so we all had a reason to keep coming back to those modes.

Who cares? Not even an impressive gun. More of a trophy for most people.
-
1 ReplyFact is the gun is not worth the grind. Both Wing and Tron will out gun it. I have three buddies with it and they NEVER use it. They say it's fun to mess around with but not competitive enough to replace the current meta. I

5 Replieslol you’re not special. Your stats are average at best. Just like mine. All it takes is a fireteam that communicates. Some of us just don’t care about it. It looks like a meh gun anyway. Maybe that Archetype gets a buff. Then I might go hit up a ft and go get it before the season ends. I just don’t care about this games broken mm system that sets you up to loose 50% of time.. In which Bungie has repeatedly admitted..

2 RepliesI think the first 2 or 3 weeks people got hyped by redrix : lots of people there playing, after this with all the bullshit that is happening there, i'm pretty sure comp will be a ghost town, people are just giving up. But the major factor to me is the losing streaks.
-
I stopped playing comp. because the number of players seems to be down. Matchmaking is really slow and I kept seeing the same players. If you want changes to something you have to stop playing it or using it. Comp. needs some minor tweaks, but I doubt bongo will do anything any time soon. I thought they said everyone that wants the weapon could get it if they put in the time. I never really cared about the RClaymore, so there's no motivation.

1 ReplyFrom the stats and what I hear, it ain't all that.

1 ReplyIs this really such a bad thing though? Am I really the only one who thinks there should be weapons and gear which only go to those who work hard for it and deserve it?
-
1 ReplyYou're assuming that anyone with <2100 points doesn't have the Claymore. It's possible to earn the Claymore and then lose points. Granted, that's not going to raise the number substantially, but combined with the fact that not all of the 503k players are strictly playing Competitive, you still can't say for sure that the number of players with the Claymore is actually that low.
-
4 Repliesthey said the rank was estimated to be the top 40% of players. That would be the top players in competitive. So you would need to find the total number of players playing competitive and extrapolate the data from there. I would wager a guess that 90+% of those 502.9k players did not dive into that pit called competitive.

Who cares.
