So a lot of people complaining about $70 for a whole year and 1000's of hours of content.
Has bungie made massive mistakes with D2. Yes. The whole game was a f up from the start. They tried a casual game to draw in the masses and it failed on many levels.
Looks like they have given up on focusing on the mass market and returning to pleasing 'hard-core players.
A lot of things to moan and complain about in D2 but the price isn't 1.
I got a weekend job at 15 earning enough to pay for games.
Don't be so cheap it's not much
Edit: Oops some people got real upset and serious lol.
Was just a joke but for real, you don't like it don't buy it simple.
Yes D2 and CoO was pretty poor by standards. Nobody is forcing you to buy the expansion neither you are owed anything.
Bungie have put out a product and put a price on it. You don't like the company or the game. Fair enough you have every right to, then don't buy it. No need to tell others how to spend their money and what to do or complain about it

I'm not going to pre-order this early. I have this feeling it's like getting a membership to a private gym, signing the one-year contract, and then the place goes under. I will likely buy it, just not yet.
-
Ok I'm selling a lemon it will only cost you $100 dollars. You squeeze it and nothing happens. Now for $70 more I'll sell you a knife too get the juice out. I mean come on you do have a job right. It's only $70 stop being cheap. Yeah the rest of us don't like to spend our money on stupid shit just because we have a job

27 RepliesEdited by Orbital Drop Shock Trooper: 6/6/2018 9:18:45 PMIts not about having a job, thats BDF mentality pandering mindset offsetting the real issue. It’s the principle. If a pizza cost $50 and people are like I’m not paying for it even if its great value for whatever someone may consider may be worth that price. The ‘get a job excuse’ is used to combat agitators who don’t agree with the pricing. At the end of the day as well you’re not just enabling the video game industry to rise its greed but you’re actually promoting that the entire video game model SHOULD be priced higher considering its replay value, the fact something could be played for 1000 of hours even if it isn’t Destiny. You’re arguing for a price hike even if it may not be your intention, it is one consequence of your argument. I don’t agree on many levels and all I see is Corperate shilling tbh.

Edited by Pinky: 6/7/2018 9:31:14 AMI will not purchase because I can buy 2 or 3 DECENT games for that price that have a story for example fallout 4 £20. D2 is not fun and the story is weak as shit.
-
Just because everyone has a job doesn't mean a company can release a game in stages and you end up paying $200 for a $40 game.
-
3 RepliesYou may have a job at 15 which is great and good for you (not being sarcastic), but calling players cheap without knowing their circumstances is a little much. Players have other commitments that are more important than a game i.e. mortgage (or rent), wife (or husband), kid(s), car(s), family, gas bill, electric bill, taxes etc....
-
Your opinion is just that. One opinion from one perspective.
-
If you haven't paid for the last two updates then you have to pay over $100 for this update. So an update now costs more than two new games.
-
I have a job and can afford the pass plus the DLC ,but it's a lot of money for things we should've got at launch and most likely will have to pay for again one year after Destiny 3 launches
-
It's about if it's worth anything, not how much.

So a lot of people complaining about $70 for a whole year and 1000's of hours of content.
They're complaining about the DLC costing full price after a year of the worst service an online game has offered in literal decades.
Has bungie made massive mistakes with D2.
Mistakes they would rather charge people a price tag to fix, rather than earn back their good will and trust.
The whole game was a f up from the start.
Yes, it was. People are understandably mad that Bungie chose to relive their mistakes rather than learn them.
They tried a casual game to draw in the masses and it failed on many levels.
Not even casual players liked D2.
Looks like they have given up on focusing on the mass market and returning to pleasing 'hard-core players.
No, they haven't. The fact that you're buying into their advertising is hilarious though.
A lot of things to moan and complain about in D2 but the price isn't 1.
It isn't the literal price tag that makes people mad. You are tilting against windmills because you haven't listened to a single argument people have made against the price.
I got a weekend job at 15 earning enough to pay for games.
Good for you.
Don't be so cheap it's not much
Literally no one who argues against the price is doing so from a position of not being able to afford it. Stop being willfully ignorant and misconstruing the arguments being made to fit your false narrative that bungie's detractors are simply mad and poor. It's about a year of lies and poor quality, awful service and the massive mishandling of the franchise and game. A year of updates delayed again and again until they could slap a price tag on it. Blatant abuse and embarrassing money-grubbing tactics only further frustrating people when they're charged more and more money for less and less content. All while whatever updates we do get never accurately reflect the community's requests and feedback. Bungie, as they are right now, are the single most incompetent game developers actively handling an online game. No consumer should feel confident blindly spending money on any kind of product they produce, let alone a full priced video game when they're obviously half-assing everything about it. If bungie won't listen to their paying customers, it's time for them to listen to their wallets. If the massive drop off in players since launch hasn't convinced them they're doing something wrong, then the people not buying into this rubbish should. If it still doesn't, then hopefully the willfully blind like yourself will wise up before you're playing half a game and being nickle and dimed for the rest of it.

The absolute disgrace that D2 year one has been should have led to a free expansion. They have reverted on everything they tried to enforce at the beginning because of poor decision making and design thinking it would be for the better. It wasn't. Free expansion + paid annual pass....fine. Paid expansion + paid annual pass....it is a slap in the face. They're basically saying pay for the new version of D2 because we -blam!-ed up D2 year one. We shouldn't have to pay for errors.

Edited by name: 6/7/2018 9:08:54 AMactually people who have a job and know it takes work to earn that money are more cautious how they spend it , compared to kids who scream at their parents until they give in and buy just so their spoiled brat shuts the fk up I sure wont be giving any of my earned money to this company , they got enough for my deluxe edition which I had to delete before the first DLC even dropped because it was so awful its not about having the money or not , but the principle of who you give it to

Teacher in high school. Not buying until reviews or discount. My money, my choice.

3 RepliesThe annual pass bit is super shady.
-
Yep I have a job and I can afford the new content but that’s not the problem. The game is shite that’s the problem.
-
2 Repliesgot over 50k in the bank, still not handing Bungie 💰 for another seasons pass till I get 2 real DLCs from the last Seasons Pass..........
-
Congrats you've made one of the most ignorant post of disregarding economic issues that someone outside of the USA might have...
-
This has to be....the funniest post on this app this year. You are so -blam!-ing adorable. 🤣

Edited by BC1 Edge: 6/7/2018 8:11:30 AM1000s of hours of content? Assuming 1000 hours that means you could play for 41 days non-stop and not repeat content. I think what you mean is 1000s hours of playing about 50 hours of content of which most are old/existing content.
-
you are an idiot.
-
1000 hours of content, holy -blam!- you dream high XD
-
Your argument was invalidated the moment you said there is/will be 1000 hours of content . That is just as narrow minded as the people who you complain about . If people feel like that an annual pass is BS and they don't want to pay that they have every right not to. Just because you think that is acceptable or 'cheap' to pay 70 dollars/euros for a year of content does not make it the truth or a deal .

No we don’t have jobs and we set around all day playing destiny & smoking pot and think deej is a god and luke smith is the devil which is married to eververse and the monitors are right wing fascists that think that their shit don’t stink. But hay it a game right?😋

Lesson of the day: You should be less critical of product quality as long as you have a job. It’s only money...and 70$ here and there does not add up over time. Fact: Financially stable individuals stay stable by frivolously blowing money on inferior products on a regular basis. It’s science. :-) The other day I got some sweet stereo speakers from some guys in a white van in the parking lot of the South Coast Plaza. Apparently they worked for a home entertainment installation outfit and the warehouse accidentally loaded up an extra pair of speakers into the van without invoicing them to the job they were on. I realize that this is sketchy as hell, but I’ve got a job and there was no way in hell I was going to pass up the deal of a lifetime.
