Does nobody here have a job?
So a lot of people complaining about $70 for a whole year and 1000's of hours of content.
Has bungie made massive mistakes with D2. Yes. The whole game was a f up from the start. They tried a casual game to draw in the masses and it failed on many levels.
Looks like they have given up on focusing on the mass market and returning to pleasing 'hard-core players.
A lot of things to moan and complain about in D2 but the price isn't 1.
I got a weekend job at 15 earning enough to pay for games.
Don't be so cheap it's not much

Yes D2 and CoO was pretty poor by standards. Nobody is forcing you to buy the expansion neither you are owed anything.
Bungie have put out a product and put a price on it. You don't like the company or the game. Fair enough you have every right to, then don't buy it. No need to tell others how to spend their money and what to do or complain about it

1 ReplyGame prices have barely moved in the last ten years (UK) but the scope & size & technicality of the games have jumped light years. Given I have over 1000 hours of D2 for £85 (base & both dlc) I'm pretty sure I got a great deal. I'll happily pay the £70-80 for another year. No other media currently gives me as much value & enjoyment. What, should the next Star Wars movies be free? Cos the last two are total asshat bullsheee.. or is it just my opinion? Game pricing has changed with microtransactions tho. That's another whole box of maths.

9 RepliesHere me out here logically thinking: If they don’t have a job, How are they accessing this site with no internet? Might be stealing a neighbors? How are they able to use this app unless they have some sort of phone, computer? Birthday gift? If so refer to point one. How’d they buy the game? The console? The yearly subscription to ps plus Xbox live? Hell how do they pay rent electric bills etc there’s so many questions left unanswered here... Side note I’m one of those D1 vets and I watched the stream I just can’t get hyped for this game anymore they seem to be focusing too much on adding new problems and patch note weapons crossbows new super abilities which are likely to need to be patched around the first week of trials... happens every time I just want a story so deep and consuming that it mentally -blam!-s me up for 7 years and I can’t emotionally cope or live a normal life after I beat it. I could give a -blam!- less about the price I already know I’ll have to rely on BYF or myelin or even destiny games to get the damn storyline I want anyway.

Work 50+ hours a week. Have kids and a side business. Lots of other hobbies as well. Still have a lot of hours sunk into destiny. I just don't sleep.

Destiny franchise was reset for Eververse and now that is clear. Away with dlc and now with season pass. It’s not about the money but the principal. They’re practically saying we’re trying to meet our investors quota. And let’s push up the prices because someone [i]will[/i] buy.

People will complain regardless of the price. If it was free, people would complain and assume the content would be disappointing. If it was $100 for everything, people would complain with demands, “it better have this and/or that.” Many just need to either pay up or just STFU.

Sure we do. Which means we want to make sure our money is well-spent. Bungie and Activision have ensured that anything we buy for D2 won't be.

1 ReplyYes a lot of us do have jobs. In fact I’m a professional magician who performs at weddings, bars and corporate events. I can make up to £500 per wedding gig. Do I want to spend £70 on a game that I am now loosing interest in? After all the lies I have been told, and after every update and patch something goes wrong? I’ll pass thanks. No doubt I would pay, but I’m not sure if I want to really get the next dlc after the disappointing experience I have with D2

idk where you got 1000h but I quit after 60 and haven't played since. Destiny 2 was an epic borefest after that point.
