Experience should have made you all resistant to hype from Bungie. Remember the lies? Take a "we'll believe it when we see it" attitude and you will pretty much save yourself from further disappointment.

2 RepliesI have to agree. I wish people would wake up and fight for what is right. Bungie has been making a fool out of us ever since the start of D2. The Taken King was good and it restored faith to D1 but D2 is just blatant and outright ripping the consumers off. Seriously, they’ve been re-hashing old content, content we already payed for and make it like it is new. They should be adding new exotics, not giving us our old ones. And now they have the audacity to sell an annual pass? Jesus. Everything that made Taken King great was taken away. Now it’s all money money money.

1 ReplyJust gunna leave this here: “The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. Since the reveal, we’ve read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected.” Never fails to expose these liars.

1 ReplyI pre-ordered D2 against my better judgement, and I feel I got burned. I will not make that mistake again. I'm not pre-ordering. I'm not even buying at launch. Seems release it slated for Sept. 4: I think I'll wait till around Thanksgiving. They should be hyping the first content update at that point, which means most of the launch content should have plenty of thorough reviews and dissections available for those of us who want to know just what we'll be getting if we decide to buy in. Might be able to grab a Black Friday sale or something. Two tokens and a blue, Bungie. I dont forget, or forgive, that easily.

Not even hyped at all. I just loved how they said"they have over 2000 ites in this game". It had about 22 items, and 1,978 reskins.

5 RepliesEdited by MM DuckNrun: 6/6/2018 12:22:45 PMI remember watching the D2 trailer thinking "this looks good" but what total crap it turned out to be. Do you honestly believe that Bungie has turned the direction around? Hell they can't even program a mass delete for Shaders. This is another Hype Train and anyone that jumps on is going to be seriously disappointed. Bungie isn't the same as it was during the Halo days, now they are a cash grab hype for sales company. Too many great games coming out this year to waste my money on this trash. My money is going toward gaming company's that care about their customers, Bungie DOESN'T.

1 ReplyNotice something? Everytime someone comments in this post, it doesnt get get bumped up to the top of the forum, ahhh but the post from the BungieHelpdesk is always at the top since that one praises forsajen while this one keeps expectations on a realistic level and urges players to ne cautious. Bungie working overtime to bury posts about the truth.

1 ReplyEdited by Salamander: 6/6/2018 2:55:26 PMThis community is unbelievable. I want year 2 to be good, but it's amazing how quickly people forget. Go ahead and jump on your hype train and then bash Bungie when you're not satisfied. Hypocrites. Sorry, but I'll admit that this community is frustrating. Lets blast OP for being realistic about Bungies track record and lose all sense of reason. Then when year 2 comes out and it's short of what you guys want, go back to bashing Bungie. It's just amazing how many people went from non stop Bungie bashing to "let's all preorder right now!". I really want year 2 to be good, but $40 is hard to justify. It's almost the price of.a brand new game so it better have nearly the same amount of content if people are expected to invest nearly $200 from all DLCs and the base game, especially for things that were stripped from D1 that they now have to pay for again... And I'm not Bungie bashing here either. I know this community is made up of plenty who will find any reason to bash Bungie because they can. People just need to be logical and it's not happening.

21 RepliesEdited by Armistice7034: 6/6/2018 3:49:50 PMYea I’m done. Hype resisted. Unless my game share partner buys it you won’t see me playing this. But I’ll do my best to convince him not to, and if that doesn’t work I will beg him not to. Unfortunately he’s a casual so it’s going to be tough. Activision thrives because of the casuals. Bungie you seriously suck. This should be free for people who stuck with it. There’s too many good games coming out this year to worry about this anymore. Time for someone else to try their hand at this type of game. Fingers crossed EA can deliver with Anthem. The Annual Pass sounds like what the free seasonal events were to me. If that’s the case then I was under the impression that the eververse was supposed to supplement those. Oh well just another thing that bungie has lied about. Goodbye Bungie, sick a duck. Also if Graywolf or any other apologists read this, keep sicking Bungies duck. I’m 33 and have loved bungie for many years. I gave them plenty of chances and they are no longer the Bungie I once knew. Buh bye.

2 RepliesThis game has turned into a nightmare version of the movie groundhog day. Accept none of you will leave puxatauny. You will wake up and destiny will still suck no matter what now.

Don't let practices like this be ok, to nickle and dime your customers for all there worth is not worth it. Yes i understand they must get paid for the work they do but theres getting paid for there work and theres just being greedy. --- Season pass should include annual pass and forsaken is free but i am willing to go for forsaken for free and pay for annual pass.

2 RepliesEdited by r3tr0gunn3r_007: 6/7/2018 9:55:15 AMI'm not pre-ordering shit from bungie after all their shenanigans they tried to pull lately.

Insert 'Spongebob "I don't need it" meme' here...

9 RepliesGonna buy 9 annual passes, just because. Eat it.

I’ve become indifferent about this game. A lot of the missteps they made about things that should have been no brainers left me wondering do you even game bro? I’d like to see the game rise to the space opera they made it out to be but I don’t think they’ll get it right. I like raiding so I’ll keep playing but as far as being excited like I was when D1 came out that’s over. If forsaken is great cool if not well at least it has a raid to play.

But that's logical and we can't have logic when people would rather blind buy and then get triggered if it doesn't live up to their expectations and constantly whine about it on a forum. This goes for all games and not just the Destiny franchise and its DLCs. Pre ordering is pretty silly to do in this era of digital downloads (meaning you don't have to pre order to loo to secure a finite amount of physical copies being released on launch day) and the fact almost every game comes with a zillion bugs out of the gate since devs know they can rely on patches.

1 ReplyEdited by ALPHAMETHYL: 6/7/2018 3:32:00 AM$69 or £52 for the expansion and the annual pass. It's more than I paid for the game itself. I have to get off this ship. Hopefully borderlands 3 will arrive soon so I can invest in that. Seems they keep wanting more and more money and give less. Never have I felt so cheated on a full priced game. I might give the expansion a go, but not the annual pass. Then it's off into the sunset, and get a divorce from the wife beating franchise.

I liked how the ViDoc started out with something along the lines, "This is the culmination of all of your feedback." Okay, sure. But I would be lying if I wasn't a bit curious on what I saw in that trailer, so much so I am decided to come back on these forums to browse the chatter. Ultimately, though, I'd heed Clever's title to this thread. I mean look at how bad they screwed up from Rise of Iron to Destiny 2. Should have been an easy home run, only way to fail coming out of Rise of Iron is if you actually were trying. And don't even get me started on CoO. Amusing to me was all the chat's spam of "SAVED". Oh how easily they forget that this is Bungie we are talking about here. Their track record in the past year has been nothing but lies, questionable decisions, inability to listen, PR stunts, Eververse, and the like. I will see where this goes. Would be great if this update is the fix the community at large says it will be, but I am highly skeptical. I'll believe it when I see it.

15 RepliesBungie is trying really hard to fix D2’s problems. At least give them one more chance.
-
9 RepliesNah fam, preordering all the way.
-
The pre-order bonus isn't worth it anyway, you won't miss nothing really; maybe a hand cannon that they'll release at a later date anyway.
-
-
People are so starved for content and instant gratification that they don’t care.
-
2 RepliesNOBODY CARE!!!!!!!!!!
-
4 RepliesI haven't been disappointed in Destiny 2. Do I plan to preorder? Yes.
-
I'll await until the DLC is on sale for $20 probably. This stuff gets such a steep price cut beause they want to try to tempt people to pay for cosmetics anyway. Plus I don't have the time to shitbucket a game anymore.

17 RepliesAlso nice to see Bungie sticking to their side of the bargain with eververse. Specifically put in the game to pay for the odd seasonal updates in between the paid dlc expansions. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/13672/7_Introducing-Eververse-Trading-Company Which are now put behind a pay wall AND eververse is still there.
