Broke down 13 exotic engrams over the past 3 days and only received one item (skyburners oath) that I already haven’t before. I’ve been playing nonstop since coming back from deployment in January and still no Orpheus rigs! Can anyone relate or is RNGeezus singling me out?

Update guys! I got another exotic engram today and when I opened it.... <insert drumroll> I got the foetracer helmet! Despite having one in my f**king inventory already!!! Yay!!!!!!!!

I have not gotten a single new exotic from any of the exotic engrams I've opened since the "duplicate engram patch." I've opened between 5 and 10 exotic engrams and have only gotten duplicates. I've actually gotten a new exotic from a legendary engram, but besides that all of my new exotics have come from xur.

1 ReplyAnother thing they “fixed” was duplicate strikes back to back. Both times this week I did the heroic milestone, I got two of the same exact strikes back to back. It is not fixed.

7 RepliesIt's not bad RNG it's designed for players to waste as much time possible to give an illusion of a real grind. If you want a change of pace try grinding Escalation Protocol where you won't see any duplicates because ain't shit hardly dropping there besides shaders, blues, and tokens. There was zero -blam!-s given about wasting people's time when designing this mode. SAD Bungie. *( €=3

Not only do I get dupes, but I get repeat strikes on occassion as well.

Well at least you finally got the best Exotic in the game. The Skyburners is pretty much my goto weapon. If only it would be a primary. Hope springs eternal I guess.

2 RepliesI don't understand, at one point you will have all exotics so duplicates are inevitable.. if you have 95% of the exotics, that means you have a 5% chance to get a new one.. probability..

2 Repliesi get mostly dupes of everything especially legendaries. I routinely get the same weapon over and over. I also get the same category with my powerful engram often. like i normally get like 3 marks, or three arms, or three power weapons in a week. so i typically only go up one level per week if i'm lucky cause i haven't had time to do raids. but i'm convinced that the random number generator is just weighted to give you duplicates and they don't know how to fix it because it was that way with d1. not just exotics but legendaries too.
