Does anyone else think the designers should get away from the big ass 80’s shoulder pads on every piece of Titan armor?

Because the daft -blam!-s choose to run into a gunfight with nothing more than fists, a shield or a hammer...you think maybe they might catch a bullet or two on the way in?
-
1 ReplyWhy do warlocks wear robes? Why do hunters wear capes? It's a design choice.
-
2 RepliesTITAN what does that connote to you?
-
They are fragile. Just kidding.

Edited by Starstriker7: 5/1/2018 3:16:45 PMGuess what?
I got a fever!

And the only prescription...

is more shoulder pads!
Hmmmmm Shouder Charge maybe? Do you even Titan?? 0_o

If you look at Bungie' track record...weapon and armor re-skins, running missions in reverse, turning missions into strikes, enemy re-skins and no new alien races in almost 4 years...their strong suit is not going outside of their comfort zone and doing different things. They ARE going to do what they have ALWAYS done. They simply don't know how to do anything else.

Like Any good Pad... its there for extra Protection. unlike my Hunter crotch, leaving little to the imagination. all im expecting now, is a quirky dialogue from a random NPC, to ask me "are those two skip grenades and a hunting knife, or are you just happy to see me?" Neither, my pants are tighter than a Barbie dolls Baby Factory, if you don't mind, I have to run really fast. as I have a massive shit and its going to take me at least 2 hours to get these pants off.

I'm not saying that the bulky shoulder pads look stupid. But they're absolutely hideous. I also find it difficult to aim past them if a Titan stands in front of me.
-
1 ReplyNO. YOU SHUT YOUR -blam!-ING MOUTH AND GO PLAY A HUNTER.
-
Edited by Cosmos Guardian: 5/1/2018 2:05:28 PMI Agree. I made a miss match armor set that doesnt look to bad. It goes as follows, The helmet, chest plate, and grieves are from nessus. The gauntlets are from titan, and the titan mark is from the crucible. Use metro shift shader on everything but the titan mark, on that use bumble bee. If you want to see how it kind of looks inspect my titan. The colors are a bit off though.

There pads are pretty clunky
-
Someone asked them to buff the Titan's shoulder charge. Luke said "Bigger shoulders do bigger damage, right? Who's with me on this? Let's crank out some content..."
-
I kinda preferred the more reserved look of the Titan armor from D1. Early D1. Not that airplane stuff that PoE introduces.
-
Hell no! Somebody’s gotta carry the weight of a dead game at this point.
-
Because its the 80s look
-
Titans equals big assed brutes, hence the big assed blocky armor, hahahaha
-
You’ve found the true endgame, dressing up our toons
-
Giant shoulder pads and loin clothes! How could you forget the loin cloth?
-
1 ReplyRight? These giant shoulders were interesting and different when the game first came out. I didn't like it then either but I also thought it would just be certain armor, not everything. D1 armor was a lot better looking, shoulder-wise.
-
Want the New Monarchy gear from Destiny? That armor has GREAT shoulder pads
-
1 ReplyI thought Titans were meant to have bulky armor
-
because, we like bashing into people with our shoulders.
-
You're not familiar with Sergeant Shoulder Pads?
-
Well they do shoulder charge. Would make sense to have big shoulder pads for both sparing their shoulders form the impact and doing more damage to their target.
-
7 RepliesYes but let’s not stop there Most gear looks like trash imo, and the fans made concepts look SO MUCH BETTER. Bungie has always lack creativity
