Does anyone else think the designers should get away from the big ass 80’s shoulder pads on every piece of Titan armor?

Yup in D1 one of the best armour sets I found for my female titan was the WotM armour, most other armour was bad

1 ReplyI have said, since day 1, that titan armor looks like militarized football uniforms. Warlock gear looks like formal dance attire that got a little to serious about itself. And hunter gear looks like a combo of cold weather and diving / hasmat suit pieces. Somehow, there are those that still manage to make it look good, and props to them.

4 RepliesWell... Most of the armor is just over inflated ugly ass ant/beetle/fly/insect/animal amorphous asexual blob crap... what we need/want is sexy ‘ass’ cool space age stuff on the female characters and kick ass amazing armor on the male characters.... something that will inspire us to play like hell to get it so we will be motivated and enjoy playing with our characters... The hardest to get in D2 is still ugly uninspired insect shiznit !!! How about a sexy little bunny outfit for me female awoken hunter ?!?!?!? I would at least be motivated to play the game again ! And it would be fun !

I suppose it has something to do with giving each of the 3 classes ( Hunters, Titans and Warlocks ) a unique design silhouette, that way you could recognise a character class from very, very far away or just from looking at their shadow. Having said that, the Titan shouldpad thing in Destiny 2 is ridiculous, I'd probably go so far as to call it vulgar in its ostentatious presentation. I get that the original design concept for Titans was something that resembled Master Chief, I get that they are supposed to be heavily armoured, but Bungie has taken things to far. I replayed through the Destiny 1 campaign recently and I miss a lot of Titan armour designs from that game.

1 ReplyI would personally like if there were no "class look" to begin with. A warlock could use hunter and titan gear normally and so forth. Of course at that point different looking gear would actually have drastically different abilities and bonuses they would give you.
-
Cause they're thicc
-
I hate the titan shoulder pads.
-
They’re our training weights. Much like Goku and The othe Z fighters. If we took it off, we would be too fast for our raid teams to keep up with us.
-
It's where they store their H20, when the water source in the area is scarce.
-
2 RepliesBecause it's Titan armor. It wouldn't make sense for their armor to be super thin, since they're supposed to be tanky. It's just a design thing. Also, Hunters are better-looking by default.

Edited by ill skillz: 5/2/2018 3:08:18 AMWhy? Don’t you like badly designed and completely bulky arms? Ash mere has the only ok sets as well as the wolf iron banner ones.
-
I don't mind

Edited by Tâxx, Herald of the IRS: 5/2/2018 2:01:49 AMHoly hell yes. I want my titan to look like they do in the D1 art.
-
personally that is one of the things I've always hated about destiny. most armor look like crap. it took me forever in d1 to find a armor I like the look of for my titan. In d2 it's just as bad. If anything give us more armor choices even if it's just cosmetic. stop with the over the top armor designs. make something simple. Also as others have said in the past. create sets of armor that give you bonuses if you have all pieces. Give us something to actually grind for, not the crap we have atm.
-
Bigger shoulders=higher skill, obviously!
-
DEAR GOD YES
-
1 ReplyThey compensate for "something" that is much smaller... And I main a Titan :)
-
Saying it since the beginning. Most likely a design choice from giving all Titans a shoulder charge. Big shoulders for big damage, even though all shoulder charges are shit as a melee. Only good for movemet, which means we need more aerodynamic shoulder pads.
-
Each class has a not so good look, it gives the character. Lol, idk, I think most of the armor in D2 is ugly.
-
1 ReplyTo appear ominous and tanky.
-
Bungie hates Titans
-
Edited by Blueberry Bot: 5/1/2018 5:57:06 PMSame reason the hunters still have a cloak! The devs are afraid of change!
-
People complained about Titans being so damn fast in D1 so they nerfed their speed in D2 by weighing them down.
-
Edited by blade329: 5/1/2018 5:25:44 PMWho the heck knows. I can't figure out how 80% of this armor got past quality control? Talk about ugly, plain unimaginative armor sets. Was Bungie forced to hire rookie high school kids for graphic artists? It's not just the Titans either. Why do half the gauntlets for Hunters look like arm fulls of bandages or a sleeve from an 80's jacket? That's space armor? It's bad enough that my guardians look like little kids on the battle field, but at least they could look good. You would think there would be at least a few things in this game that Bungie couldn't screw up.
-
I think 90% of armor in Destiny 2 looks terrible for all classes.

1 ReplyEdited by SilentX007: 5/1/2018 7:39:18 PMIts just bad design all around its grotesk to look at, cant stand playing my titan main, the downgrade from alll of D1 -blam!-ed everything up like wtf is up with this companies vision and while warmind is gonna be even smaller than mercury.... this games market worth just hit the toilet.
