The way people are treating Solo Players makes me feel DISGUSTED to be a co op player
You treat them like they're nothing but dirt, only fit to be under your heel. And now I'm expected to view them the same way just because I Do Raids and PvP with clanmates?! I'm not above them and [b][i]YOU'RE[/i][/b] not above them either! We all paid the same money for this game, why should we segregate ourselves?!!
Edit: It seems my post didn't rub on some people correctly, Allow me to (Try) and Rectify that.
I am not saying Solo players shouldn't have to at least put in the effort to get the endgame loot whether that be with randoms or new friends they make along the path, But when players openly attack and insult them, That's where I draw the line.
Example: a forum user (As much as it'd add at least SOME validity to my case I cannot state their name) made a forum post which has now been removed by Moderators. In said post, they called solo players "the problem" and that they should "Play how the game is intended or not play at all"
Example 2: This comment comes from this very thread! (you know who you are and the rest can see it if they search)

3 RepliesWhile I agree no one should be mean about this there is a problem with this overall premise. This is a shared world shooter. The endgame has always been about Co-op and not about solo play. It seems everyone is fighting for solo play which is not this game. Now better matchmaking options in game I would agree as guided games is terrible. We should be fighting for that or if you want solo paths fight for solo endgame events/modes for gear( The new mode kind of seems like it starts to offer this btw). D2 catered to the solo and the casual and that’s why we are we we are(among other reasons as well).Everything was handed out and power level meant nothing. No need to do any activities because it will come regardless of difficulty of play. If you only play solo then why do you care about maxing out anyway. There is literally no point still other than endgame activities. Is it just about the number on your guy? In the end it doesn’t work catering to give everyone everything regardless of endgame pursuits. The endgame is built around Co-op play in a shared world shooter. If you want a regular RPG solo game there are better ones out there than Destiny that actually immerse you in there world and are designed to be for one person.

It’s down right scary that this is how politics work in real life (at least in the US). Edit: the list represents the things I’ve seen people blame for this game sucking. I’m not saying these things suck. I thought it was clear that I’m saying it’s laughable when people list a random thing and blame the current state of the game on it. 🤷🏿♂️ I apologize for my poor use of sarcasm.

That's the millenial generation for you. There must always be something to blame on someone else, or in the absence of something, something must be found even if one needs to make something up. We cannot be happy unless we are divided, because to stand together as equals is to accept that we, as individuals, are no more special or important than those standing beside us. Not many can accept such an ideal as equality in this day and age, where everyone (here in America at least, can't vouch for other countries) is raised to believe they are unique and special.

Solo player... 100’s of raids in D1, and I preferred to take newbies through. Just couldn’t bother myself with D2. Anyway, being a solo player isn’t the problem

Im a solo player they need to quit whining its a coop game i do everything solo but the nightfall and the raid which are once a week activities. It wont kill people to have a little interaction once a week

There is already more solo content than multiplayer. Seeing as this is an online multiplayer game, there needs to be more multiplayer content. This game got stale and has lost most of the player base because you could max out and obtain everything just from solo content with little to no effort. Why play solo in a game that is always online? It makes no sense. What’s the point of obtaining gear and maxing your character if you don’t play the end game raids or anything else that is somewhat difficult?

4 RepliesI play solo 90% of the time and have had no problem reaching max light in d2 or d1. I mean you can lfg for nightfalls, raids, trials. If you don't like doing nightfalls, raids, or trials then you don't need to be max light. Also if you aren't doing nightfalls, raids, or trials why tf do you even play destiny lol Literally no point to be max light unless you do the activities that require a team so I'm really not seeing the problem.

That being you could optionally play nearly the whole game with 2 others. That and otherwise the game was about the organic colliding together of players not because it was needed it's just a feature. Sometimes those features are emphasized and that's fine. The issue is that when they do try to do that it's done in such a poor manner. It really just comes down to their inability to get people to group up. There's not a lot of public challenges for one, though warmind is a step in the right direction. Two, options for getting together for bigger things is cumbersome. As things are playing the game as a solo player feels like a feature incomplete game. Those who are pushing against this, don't actually understand what game bungie made and are being unnecessarily spiteful and petty.

Well with the co-op activities (raid and trials) been so shite it’s beyond belief there isn’t a reason to play with others. I agree some solo or small team activities need to be added to the game, yes I know we have strikes and the campaign but that’s it and the strikes are already boring as hell as they just have no depth, no fun “shit! Did you see that!!!” Moments and give nothing but shite for your efforts - by efforts I mean standing there holding down the trigger for 10 mins at a boss as let’s face it that’s all we do. Best way to solve this is adding some 20-30 min + dungeons to the world that can be done solo with a small chance of the end game loot dropping or a small selection but the enemies, boss and challenges get harder as your team gets bigger (borderlands managed it) while also increasing the chance for the better end game loot to drop. To me something like that needs to be done as with d2 at the moment if none of my team are online what is there to do? Run my 10,000th strike for crap? Run ikoras quests? - that bungie say are harder then the normal quests and offer better loot but they aren’t and don’t!

These posts are almost as bad as the people who whine about requirements in raid posts, but refuse to make their own posts with no requirements because they don’t want to get stuck with the other people who don’t meet the requirements of the “elitist” post.

Don’t understand. Use lfg. Solo players or not, the game was designed to be a Team game. You don’t complain about the raid being 6 man. Or trials being 4 man. Open up the app and find people. Or better yet, find a clan.
