You treat them like they're nothing but dirt, only fit to be under your heel. And now I'm expected to view them the same way just because I Do Raids and PvP with clanmates?! I'm not above them and YOU'RE not above them either! We all paid the same money for this game, why should we segregate ourselves?!!
Edit: It seems my post didn't rub on some people correctly, Allow me to (Try) and Rectify that.
I am not saying Solo players shouldn't have to at least put in the effort to get the endgame loot whether that be with randoms or new friends they make along the path, But when players openly attack and insult them, That's where I draw the line.
Example: a forum user (As much as it'd add at least SOME validity to my case I cannot state their name) made a forum post which has now been removed by Moderators. In said post, they called solo players "the problem" and that they should "Play how the game is intended or not play at all"
Example 2: This comment comes from this very thread! (you know who you are and the rest can see it if they search)
They are dirt. If they have they opportunity to play with others, they should. Asocial degenerates.
THIS is what I'm against!

This post is like when you hear about an influx of complaints regarding how racist a tv commercial is to black people and find out that the majority of complaints came from white people.

Cant believe someone wrote this

2 RepliesWhat I see is that solo players want a game tailored to them when destiny never wanted to be that. Do you see coop players plaguing the mhw forums asking for more coop content? No. Well destiny already has the option to do most of its activities solo so for solo players to want even more is just arrogant
-
This is bait right? It’s gotta be bait, you just seem far too into it. They can one of two things. 1. Wait for the everything it has to offer. 2. Quit and move on.

What the f*ck in the seven hells is going on?

Shut up, Meg.

17 RepliesThere's nothing wrong with playing co op modes in my opinion but when your forced to plug your mic in when you just want to play is the issue in my eyes

I am a solo player, if you choose to play a game and have the ability to play with other people, but choose to remain solo you should and will be weaker for a longer period. People who have clanmates or friends to run the raids, trials and other activities designed for more than one player will have more access To more powerful weapons and armor, that is how it's intended to be. I choose to play solo for the most part on my own. I like to run stuff at my own pace and take detailed looks at certain things. I am perfectly fine the way that this game is going, I don't believe people are treating solo players shity.
-
1 ReplyWhat? Who cares that someone prefers to play by them self, but they should expect to be weaker than those who run raids and trials on a weekly basis.

The issue is not the solo player. The issue is it’s not a game designed to be played solo. If you are a solo player why does the game have to be changed to suit you. They tried that with D2 and even solo players think it’s crap. So solo players go find a game that suits your play style and stop complaining that multiplayer games don’t have solo content
-
I’m a solo player and I’m getting my shit together every week, why so much hate?
-
All mine don’t play Destiny anymore so I’m left solo, I don’t mind.. I play for for fun.. I don’t take the game seriously.. and I get by just fine..

3 RepliesCo-op/Team players believe Destiny (whole franchise) should be about team based activities. They are not entirely in the wrong. Solo players want to the game to have larger focus on just solo players. They are not entirely wrong either. The real issue is that neither side seems to want any real form of compromise. Team Players need to accept that there are going to be Solo players in the game and that they should have activities catered to them just as much as team players. On that same note Solo players need to accept that not every facet of the game is meant for solo players and learn to accpet what they are given in that regard. I fully understand that Solo players are going to go and play Crucible/PvP. Thing is? They need to understand, and accept, that Stacked teams are a thing and not likely to go away overnight. In fact, from the look of it, not likely to go away at all. This goes for the Raid as well. It is a team based event and mot meant for solo players. Two options have been tossed up nimerous times. Optional Match making for the Raid and a Solo Queue for Crucible. Both are good suggestions, but neither can be implemented easily. On top of this little fact we have another problem. Many believe these two options, should they ever be implemented, will magically fix all their issues in the same reguard. No. No they will not. There are numerous reason why. One such example could be the Raid. I have been on several teams made of randoms that just not click and the whole ordeal degenerated into a shit show of wipes and rage quits. Yeah this can happen to teams/clans as well, but seldom as frequently. PvP has it"s own issues. Seen teams of "Blueberries" absolutely wreck the Stacked teams once they started, somewhat, coordinating with one another. Even if it was two teams of absolute Randos you will see some of them band together to improve thier odds of winning and with all that Bungie intends to add to PvP that chance is going to really increase. I see many reasons why people are solo players. However? I also see alot of those reasons being nothing, but shallow excuses. If you, honestly, cannot find friends or people to play with maybe you need to consider playing some better suited to solo players.

2 Repliesi don't get it. Destiny has already lost a majority of it's player base and now these people want to get rid of more players (solo players) they do realize if they keep losing players then Destiny will just shut down completely and nobody at all will be able to play, right?
-
I was a social butterfly back at D1. AOT, PVP, and D2 unintentionally made me into a sociopath nowadays...

I do most of my activities with friends but respect solo players. I understand the anxiety of not wanting to play with others or just not wanting to interact with anyone.

3 RepliesEdited by N8sNotSoGr8: 4/29/2018 6:09:34 PMAs a Destiny fan-boy through the multiple and tumultuous stages of Destiny since D1's beta, I am used to being the last person left and running solo. That being said, I have never once felt like Destiny was designed against me (albeit Crucible is hard to enjoy, but if I really wanted to enjoy it that badly, I'd just go find a clan that focuses on it). I'm not entirely sure where this narrative that solo players are no longer welcomed is coming from. While I agree that certain aspects of the game could benefit from matchmaking (I.E. non-prestige nightfall) having to get a group of people together to complete the highest difficulty of content( and most of the end game for that matter) has ALWAYS been a key design philosophy of Destiny. Nothing has changed. The grind for max light level getting harder, only gives the opportunity for more complex end game activities, and hopefully will give people more to chew on as they approach and get into the end game, meaning the progression curve will take longer, and hopefully feel more meaningful. Honestly anyone who thinks Bungie is actively trying to design solo players out of the game...I would question the mileage you've had with this series. Maybe you don't know what Destiny is. And as far as treating solo players like dirt...well, solo players started this conversation..and rather passionately if I recall. I'm a solo player, and I really don't understand the complaints that they have. Every change i have seen thus far looks to be culminating a return for the community, and that can only help solo players...not hurt them.

1 ReplyIt wouldn't be destiny without the elitist scumbags and the tryhards.
-
1 ReplyThe only people left playing are solos who don’t have any friends to slap some sense into them. Friends don’t let friends play D2
-
Solo players are more skilled, we don't need friends as a crutch.

11 RepliesLoved this game when it launched years ago. I don't have real life friends who play Destiny or D2. Most of them are into Madden/Sports type games. Finding people to play with is the single largest challenge in this game. Every Clan I have been has been a complete Fail. Finding a raid group sucks.... I agree... Bungie alienated an extremely large portion of their customers. Bungie could learn a thing or two from Sea of Thieves. Turn on Matchmaking for Raids and Nightfalls. Let us decide who we want to play with... Bungie quit trying to play god... Tone down the Team Shooting BS.

1 ReplyWhen did we start grouping people together? Seems like 1 more way to divide people
-
Thing is it needs to be bapanced not favoring one or the other Like matchmaking in cruicible a solo player shouldn't be going against a full fireteam.
