Haters can hate but I’m starting to feel the hype!
For you people who are going to Moan before this dlc comes out just remember it’s a game. You can move on. Clearly your childish bashing will not change the game in your favor. Be constructive and reasonable. Don’t let a video game give you anxiety, if you don’t like it move on. I’m stoked to see what they do because this is their make or break. So I have positive vibes and high hopes let’s just see what happens. If it sucks oh well got
Many other things to do with my life. Stop taking this so serious.

17 RepliesNo hate here, rather a PSA: believe what you actually have in your hands. Bungie [i]always[/i] overhypes and underdelivers. If you can temper your expectations you will be far less disappointed later. I was roasted by people in the forums for saying (after playing the beta) D2 would be awful. Wish they’d been right and I was wrong, but either way those folks have gone strangely quiet.

Man, you have all the right to be extremely naive. Constructive = 95% of the player base is not playing D2 anymore, focus 100% to address core isues of the game. Do not realease any pay DLC until D2 have at least D1 deep, customization, number of diferent activities...etc. Constructive is not be blind to the huge mistakes that Bungie made in D2.

If they haven't had time to fix a large amount of issues with the game already, it's high unlikely that the next part of the DLC is going to be much better. I'm not a hater, just a realist.

I invested a lot of time and money into what Bungie promised would be a 10 year experience playing as a guardian that forges his/her own legend in a bleak and harsh future. However, time, and time again Bungie has failed to live up to that promise. I used to be like you. Go back through my post history and you will see that for a very long time I was a D1, D2, and Bungie supporter. A couple of months ago I finally reached my breaking point though. I realized that Year 3 of D1 was light years ahead of D2 in every single way. There was literally nothing about D2 that I could point to and say "Well, this is much better now than it was in year 3 D1." That was a very sobering thought. Then Bungie announces after moths of players trickling away that they have [i]Heard our complaints[/i] and they will be rolling out a plan that will do nothing more than make D2 into something similar to what we had back in Year 3 D1! ARE YOU -blam!-ING KIDDING ME?!? That is not even the best part though. The kicker is that it is going to take them nearly a full 12 months to get D2 back to what we already had in D1's -blam!-ing YEAR -blam!-ing 3!!!!!!!!!!! So after all that time, the shit show that you are so "Hyped" over is still not even close to being a shadow of what it was back in D1's Year 3 today. So go ahead and call me a "Hater" if you must.

2 RepliesI constantly go through this weird circle of life thought-process when it comes to video games. On one hand, indeed, this game, in theory, has no impact on my life. But at the same time, it is something, for whatever reason, that I am spending my irreplaceable life to play. "It's just a game, don't take it seriously." Yeah, true... "You're wasting your life playing video games." I don't make a living off of it, like the extremely fortunate few who do (a bit of jealousy exists here). So, yeah, true again. "If you're going to do something, give it everything you've got." Hm. I think the term is gluttony. To consume without need. I don't need to play games, but I do. I spend my precious resource of life to play these games, because I enjoy them. And so, I care. Honestly, I think my sanity and grasp on reality has been slipping lately. Been thinking of claiming Chase Network as a legal alias cause I thought it might be fun. I research Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at university because I want to replace the world government with AI, cause I think it may be fun. Maybe I'll even have the AI itself run an election campaign. That would be pretty funny to watch.

I feel the same way. I took a break from October to recently. I was really pissed about the direction D2 took and all the launch hype died down. I've been having a lot more fun with it after the break I took and I realized it took D1 time to flesh itself out and I didn't really start playing daily until year 2. Destiny 2 will get there. Play if your enjoying it, take breaks when you need to, and give constructive criticism. This game will grow over the next few years and Im excited.
