Ok, so I'm sure we can all agree that warlocks have some pretty amazing looking exotics, but they are all severely under powered, especially compared to the favoritism that went into the hunter exotics. We literally have 3 helmets that do the same thing, one increases recharge for void, one for arc, and one for all abilities, so whats the point in making them look so cool if they don't live up to the look. The wings of sacred dawn is one of the exotics that had me hyped for D2, just to find out it's ability is a previous part of the sunsinger subclass that they took out, not to mention floating in midair is the most worthless perk ever, it puts you out in the open and makes you an easy target for all damage. Then the hunter has exotics that are all very unique and built for any situation and especially for crucible. Disorienting on dodge? Extra damage to low health opponents? Longer invisibility duration? Clearly the hunter has always been the favorite of bungie, then titan coming in second, then when they reach warlocks all their ideas have been exhausted. Almost forgot about the Vesper chest which sends field of damage when a rift is placed down which does literally nothing not to mention warlocks are easily killed while in the rift placement animation. In my opinion the vesper should let your rift constantly damage opponents who stand inside your rift, and extend the rifts duration, allowing it to be useful in modes like control or countdown.
If anyone has any opinions on stuff like this have a little conversation below.

Ophidians are still OP tho Sincerely -A Warlock main
-
Only thing I like using is crown of tempests but only because it makes stormcaller feel more like d1 voidwalker than d2 voidwalker does
-
They also didn't even include a chest exotic for the VOID class; I used to use Voidfang vestments in D1; back when Axion bolt was good; now we've got nothing. Even our void bomb and grenade that's supposed to create a kinda gravity well is a pale shadow of the Hunters tether effect; it should be much harder to run through those void grenades; but no Warlock gets shafted again, and for anyone who's intending to blather on about Devour being so great; yep it's OK but one good power doesn't make a good class.
-
Most nerfed class ever. Nerfed once just because a dev wanted too. Havent had a good grenade since d1 dropped, which was nerfed. You babies need to grow the f up. Favored my ass.

Sith Lords don't need exotics.........................except for the one that makes the pew pew reload really quick quick...

Winters guile is about the best exotic we have. Under the right circumstances it is bar none the most OP thing in the game (in a good way). Its not too useful in crucible or perhaps raids, but it shines for patrols, lost sectors and even story missions. Its always super fun going into the lost sector on titan (where all the enemy's are in one big room) and just meleeing through everything effortlessly and basically being invincible at the same time (pair with devour for best results). Other than that exotic, most everything else is only useful for extremely specific situations or just not worth the small boost.

I main Warlock and I will admit, our exotics do seem underwhelming.I mostly just use the wings of dawn because of its utility..The Dive and heal is very useful and save me from fall damage and area knock off many of times..
-
This is definitely accurate. I've found crown of tempests and nezarec's sin to be effective, but boring. Most seem just pointless. I think after the update tomorrow wings of sacred dawn and transversive steps might be worth checking out
-
The warlock exotics are effective, but their bonus don't really add anything cool.
-
I’m a warlock main so ultimately my opinion is biased, but I agree 100% with this post. I just feel like “meh” when I looked at warlock exotics. We don’t have anything as game changing and fun as Titan and hunter exotics. Wish they had done more to make rifts more cool
-
The base game exotics are pretty good except our helmet duplicates. CoO exotics however are a let down for warlocks and titans. To be honest from gameplay, warlocks are second on Bungie's list. I always have a better time playing on my warlock over my titan. The same goes for playing against them. Warlocks are always more challenging.

Floating in the air is not useless, in fact in prestige pve it is extremely useful. Just slam down to the ground to heal yourself and repeat. Make sure you use a good mid air weapon.

Ophidian aspects is all you'll ever need.

The ability recharge change is actually pretty big but yes they do need a buff
but the melee range doesn’t
Only good warlock Exotics are transverse steps and ophidian aspects
-
I would say Nezarec‘s Sin lives up to being good. It is a decreasing cooldown helmet, but it’s for Void damage in general, not just ability kills.

1 ReplyI have been using the same warlock hands for awhile.

Exotics are underwhelming in Destiny 2 because the game is balanced too hard around PvP. That's why we can't have cool exotics like the original Twilight Garrison or Voidfangs anymore.
-
1 ReplyI stopped using the helmets and just use gauntlets. Winter’s guile is tits. Being able to one punch knights and captains is very satisfying.

1 ReplySomething to think about: when you're hovering in mid-air don't do it out in the open. There are plenty of places to hover to avoid being shot out of the air. Use it as an ambush tactic and not in the middle of a firefight. Also it really helps a player to use tracking rockets.

1 ReplyEdited by Hazuki: 3/25/2018 4:52:28 PMWarlocks: Great base subclasses, balanced by not having any exotics too crazy. There are some standouts, however, and they help keep things up and interesting. Hunters: Base subclasses are okay, with a few bits to keep their momentum going (joke intended), and some spicey exotics to keep in line with the other classes. Titans: Mostly in the middle for more flexibility. Can run pretty much everything. Verdict: It's a balancing tactic, and it works pretty well. Just keep playing and you'll get comfy with it. It's all good :3
I'm off classes now for spring break so I'm in a good mood. You?
You're right. I never take my Mechaneers Tricksleeves off my Hunter. They're mlg.
