1 ReplyTwitch and esport aspirations $$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
2 RepliesIf they never separate the modes and balance them differently, PvP will always hold back PvE and then we will always have a bland experience no matter how many buffs or nerfs we get. I can see D3 with the same 3 damn grenades for each subclass again.
-
Cause who honestly wants to kill the Genesis Mind 1000 more times some damn tokens while hearing Asher talk?
-
1 Replypvp is the Ruin of Destiny. pve should be the crown of Destiny. Sadly its not.
-
As mainly PvE player, this has been my frustration since D1. I keep expecting a deep PvE experience, but it always feels shallow. I was expecting deeper RPG elements for weapon customization, crafting, NPC interaction, and lore. There is so much they could do to cultivate cooperative activities in PvE, but PvP always seems to get the attention.

Esport dreams
-
Uhhhhhhh. Do you remember all the raid changes. Dude get a life.
-
6 RepliesEasier to make content for. Gamers stream their victories online - free advertising for the game. Bungies wet dream is D2 becoming an E-sport.
-
1 ReplyCause who wants to kill The Inverted Spire a thousand more times?
-
2 RepliesI would rather do 10 Public events than 1 pvp match
-
Who knows, it’s a waste of their time and resources
-
They're banking on PVP to fill the gaps inbetween content droughts. Pity the PVP sucks too so they've lost both PvE and PVP players galore.
-
6 RepliesD2 was made to be a PvP game . This game was made for streamers so they would broadcast to the world how great d2 is and you can be like the streamers also. They force PvE players into PvP by making them chase a milestone, then bungie can say see even PvE players like PvP . Bungie is putting all their energy , money , effort , whatever will work to save their esport game . Their are twice as many PvE players and bungie thinks PvP is what they need to save . If PvE players want new content we must wait until the next dlc . PvP players just have to wait till the next event or season for new content .
-
The community they want is PVP focused. The PVE community is a plague to them since they have a standard for content and a desire for them to put work into the game. The events are suppose to be a balance since there is so much PVE content, but I think they should alternate events with PVP and PVE events.

I play far more PvP then PvE.

Edited by blade329: 2/14/2018 9:25:41 PMWho knows. It may be because you need less content to create for it. That's probaby why Bungie pushes friendship so much. They know playing PvP with friends creates a lot of replay value to the game with very little effort on their part. Add to that the fact the Bungie has its eyes on eSports. The only problem is, this focus has RUINED the game.

1 ReplyFor free week long content, pvp is the best choice. I am guessing for the same coding time for this event they might have been able to make one brief story mission, so after 10-15 minute the even would have been done. With pvp, you can grind as much or little as you want
-
2 Repliesagree, pvp will be the death of this game if i want to play pvp i will just go play rainbow siege
-
Because that's where the money is

Because

I figure Destiny wants to be a "bro" game like CoD. Crimson Days is pretty much a love themed Iron Banner. It's clear they don't care about PVE.
-
While I believe that many changes were made in D2 because of PvP, Bungie definitely made it a lot easier for people who want items from PvP activities, but don’t actually want to play it. I play Crucible, but barely touch Trials of the Nine, yet I have almost all of the armor pieces for my Titan and almost all of the weapons due to the Clan Engram (I’m missing like two weapons, the arms, and the class item).
-
Easier to make content and easier to shove lootboxes.
-
4 RepliesBecause making content is "too hard", PvP is easy so that's why they focus on it.
-
Because games of service. most games these days only have a PvP end game because its the only thing that can change every game. No game is the same (unless its Destiny...). Except Bungie forgot what kind of game they were making, Destiny isn't a PvP game.
-
Pvp is the traditional end game for FPS games, and Bungie sees itself as developer of shooter games. The problem is that the stubbornly refuse to accept that Destiny is more of a loot-based RPG, than it is a shooter. So Bungie is like the athletic dad who has a son who is an incredible musician. But keeps buying the kid sports equipment instead of musical instruments. Everyone else can see what the problem is, but he’s so deeply identified with sports, he cant see it.
