TL;DR: There's no direction to the story, which is why continuity is skewed and characters are bad. When making long term franchise, you plan ahead, not write as you go along, there's no longer any mystery or intrigue. Nothing ever changes either, no-one of the characters change and grow, always another bad guy, and never anything interesting, like Osiris becoming the new speaker for example. Like the gameplay, the story lacks depth in all aspects.
A note from me, the dialogue is god awful too, "I didn't know guardians could die, until they did", really? If i presented that as dialogue in one of my scripts for my film degree at University, i would not last very long would i? Bring the grimoire back, taking it away was a decision that just hasn't panned out, its your patient and loving community who we're smart enough to create things like the Ishtar Collective, bring it back but also actually put it as a tab in the game, tying it to exotics was a great idea, so why not have both? Also put it in dialogue, have characters talk about it in strikes, in the campaign, idle dialogue, make them feel involved with the world, right now it all just feels so disconnected.
Thanks for reading, i hope Bungie hears what i have to say, and the feedback is passed to the relevant teams.

4 RepliesYep, no doubt this game is managed by imbeciles. Just think about the darkness and how they admitted they had no clue how to explain it
