  • Like just add on top of the masterworks. I don't dislike masterwork, it's a great addition, but it's not as desirable compared to reroll and god roll weapons, the sensation of grinding to get a perfect weapon, either by personal enjoyment or overall power. Reroll just gives so much room to constantly adapt and change the meta, and masterwork weapons would just make it so much better

  • Sure. We need more choice why not have vendor static rolls for the equality outcome ultra casuals, random for the willing and an expanded mod system?

  • They [u]are[/u] going to have to bring random rolls back, that or build a real random item generator. Removing this feature from a loot driven game was [b]clearly[/b] beyond stupid.

      85% of the people saying random rolls shouldn't be brought back are afraid their Uriel's Gifts/Better Devils will get outperformed.

      This is way I thank random Rolls should return Now first off just hear me out and also everything I say in this post is MY opinion. If bungie adds strike specific loot it is just going to be worthless in a couple days or weeks when you get it all you will have no reason to go back and get it will be just like every other legendary where you just dismantle it now if they bring back Random rolls it will change that now I’m not just saying bring it back completely maybe just in strikes to give you incentive to play it more People like ME Who like to experiment with guns Random Rolls gave us that opportunity also they had a lot of customization and Play styles with them unlike static rolls And yes I have considered the mod system I think it’s a good idea but Random Rolls are far more superior in my opinion So here is my ideas in why I am in favor of random rolls so if you have any other ideas let’s discuss them

        • I do NOT want random roles back as everyone knows RNG only blesses the chosen select. I am, however, in favor of being able to customize your weapon a bit to fit your play style. Instead of random roles I would personally prefer a more robust Mod system. Would be nice to be able to add an extra perk via a Mod. That said, I would also not want this to be 100% RNG based. Instead I would prefer that you have a clear path to do x, y and z to obtain materials or whatever and at the end you can acquire the Mod you want with a reasonable time investment. I don't want the Mods to be handed out like candy, but I don't want to have to play the game 3+ hours every day for 2 years either.

          • Everyone involved in the removal of random rolls and the implementation of enemies scaling with you: I hate you. I want to grind for that godlike weapon and then i want to feel like a god. Literally playing as a level 2 with level 25 people is the same experience. hhhnnggggggggg WHO does that to a game? WHO ARE YOU? Still love bungo tho, I think you are getting fisted by activision, such a shame.

          • You know what's funny people like to say bungie don't listen. They say they prefer the weapon system from D1 and random rolls. If bungie truly didn't listen theyvwould have ignored the complaints from D1, we would still have primary, secondary and heavy, still have random rolls and by the community's own standards D2 would have been a better game.

          • Not going to happen. If they do this it will destroy destinies eventual plan to bring guns into eververse. They already pushed armor through by neutering perks so they can say the armor is "cosmetic" because pretty much all armor is the same now. Next will be weapons because with only fixed rolls available they can have Tess sell guns while pointing out that it is "only cosmetic" because they have guns with the same perks available not from Tess. #bringbackarmorperks "If nothing affects gameplay, everything becomes cosmetic"

            • Man, I hope not. For every "god roll" there were hundreds of drops that just turned into materials. With fixed stats, you can figure out where the gun you want is dropped, and then work towards getting that, instead of having to work towards getting it enough times to get the perks you want. I would much rather they let us customize our weapon perks more. Get the gun you want, get the perks you want, put them together, no endless grinding hoping you get extremely lucky on the drop AND all the rolls.

            • Masterworks are sh*t and boring. Random rolls cured the 'lack of things to do' in between content droughts (well for me anyway).

              • Yes bringing them back is a good idea to give us a reason to come back and play but also give the chance of the Jiangshi AR4 (i think it's called) Positive outlook and other similar stat weapons to have the same roll as the Uriel's gift and maybe at least make it seem like your being killed by a different weapon and even create the illusion of there being no meta.

              • I like what the Masterworks do but it would be [i]really[/i] awesome if I could Masterwork a god roll weapon that I played my a** off for. Realistically, all the Masterworks did was even the playing field yet again because of the same few choices of upgrades... but that now your gun can create orbs.

              • In a game where enemies scale to the power of the player what’s the point of perks and mods? This is not D1. Bungie changed one of the core mechanics for D2, the “power fantasy”. in this present system you will never have perks that deal real damage it will always be faster reload, extra ammo, better range, bland perks like this. D2 is basically CoD with a really really bad perk system.

                • Masterwork is one of the new features that has made weapons fun to use and a reason to have some skill when killing and gives another way to make orbs for others. Next exotics will be updated because masterwork has proven to over take them in usefulness.

                  • Only a handful of perks paired on weapons are worth it, no way should it go back to getting a weapons 15+ times until it's even worth keeping, and screw having to get armour 15+ times until the perks are not shit. Because I loved running shield brothers strike 40+ plus and not getting auto/shotgun reload arms that's just so awesome. At most kinetic and legendary energy/power mods need to be baseline and allow a different selection to tweak your weapon to act differently, like more damage on multi kill or faster reload on triple kills, more super energy on assist kills, ability energy when dealing damage or multi kills, or when killing a curtain race. Raids will have random mods geared towards the raid so when some random mods are added to the pool than we will have a reason to collect more of the same gun, you will build gear for pve/raid/pvp as you do now but further when mods will allow for more synergy in those activities.
