Legitimately cant bring myself to try the new raid, even prestige of the original. It’s just all so dull and boring compared to D1, is there anyone else in this situation?

I ain’t done both because there is no point
-
Have not done it don’t care to looks boring and drops suk
-
Maybe because there is no raid in the DLC.
-
I haven't done the raid because the only invites I get as me to know how to do it.
-
Haven't done the raid either. Logged in on reset day, was doung the Flashpoint with my fireteam and realized what's the point in continuing this game if it's the same stuff and the drops are getting worse. After the faction rally was done (which I enjoyed doing because of the public events coinciding with securing the enemies equipment), this game has now become exasperating to me.
-
Haha. I really thought i was the only one :)

14 RepliesHow has bungie not responded to such a serious comment with around 1000 upvotes. Can't they see those numbers are far higher than on many other posts? I haven't done the raid lair either. Can barely find a sensible team of people to get through it with. And yeah 'get through' because it seems like a chore.

Would've done it, but I saw how "mehhhh" the armor looked and decided to not waste my time.

A few days ago I went back and did all of the raids in d1 just for shits and gigs with friends and it was a blast. It's not the same feeling in d2 when your shooting a bullet sponge with a hosepipe. Some of the weapons look cool in d2 but theres no better feeling than annihilating a raid boss with a g-horn or sleeper or even a dark drinker.

MOST of my friends who used to be daily players have moved out. Raid lair actually looks kind of fun, but they were turned off by the mechanics-heavy (mechanics-only?) leviathan. I like to shoot bad guys, not fail over and over again at Pollination Simulator.

Edited by MHansen00: 1/24/2018 3:56:10 AMDid Leviathan several times, it can be ok at best with a good fun group. Did wotm last night, 4 of the 6 man team had not done it yet, while it was frustrating, the adolescent that is screaming at everyone is honestly worse than any squeaker, we got it done and it was as fun as the first 15 times. Even better was hearing the excited "I got chaos doggma, I got the helmet!" You don't hear that in Leviathan, the raid lair looks kinda fun but my friends list and clan list can no longer even contemplate it and lfg is a toxic must have x amounts of completions, no thanks

Edited by MightyJonE: 1/24/2018 3:31:05 AMThere’s a raid?!?
-
Didn't even realise there was a raid until a week after CoO released. Saw some gameplay and just didn't care for it, even though I loved the raids of D1. I was thinking of trying it, but can be assed to deal with the sweats on LFG. They just take all the fun out of doing the raids.
-
Haven't done a raid since d1 ended.
-
I havnt done the raid. Although i would like do it at least once
-
You can get raid gear without doing raids anyway 😂 😂 😂 😂 what a joke of a game
-
Can't be bothered, no incentive to log on
-
3 RepliesI have not raided yet. If they make raids take 1 hour then maybe I’ll do it
-
No point or incentive to run the raid...this is a shooter looter and the end game raid has no loot...just cosmetics for guardians to look pretty lol...
-
I haven't even wanted to do a normal nightfall.

if the Rewards were worth it i would have made more of a attempt to do the raid , at the time my clan was active i was behind the curve in power so i opted out for someone who had better luck with RNG , by the time i got gear the clan stopped raiding and moved on . im a filthy casual so i dont mind . i jump between D2 ,and other FPS style games , depends in my mood .

Me It's not that its boring for me- but the gear is just flat out not worth the effort. Like the regular raid gear is cool but not worth the typical Raiding hassles to search for a team, see if they even know what they are doing ect ect- plus knowing that I can basically raid like 3 or 4 times and get EVERYTHING also takes away the urgency I used to feel to raid in the 1st place. In D1 it KILLED me inside every week I didn't raid on all 3 characters because I feel like I wasted another chance to get LUCKY and MAYBE get something I needed. D1 fixed the issue of stuff being too rare/RNG by adding the challenges that upon completion GUARANTEE at least ONE raid drop and a cool Legendary emblem to prove you are capable of doing that specific challenge. But in D2 the prestige gives me the same gear with nothing more but a better paint job, and then insults me further with a shitty RARE (not even friggin Legendary or Exotic) emblem that feels more like a sticker to show how stupid and willing to waste my time I am when I could have just NOT done the challenge/prestige or anything and STILL got essentially the same worthless BS gear. I really WANT to raid, and I REALLY want to at least complete one prestige and at least ONE run of the RL. But there is neither any urgency to do so nor any real worthwhile reward as the raid gear is all both as basic as non raid gear, and pretty much guaranteed to get right away. There isn't any sense of pride to having the Raid gear and wearing it which is half the point. The OTHER half being that in D1 it was the only way to hit level cap, but of course that is also out the window in D2.

Me. It’s been a struggle since D2 launched. Most of my D1 raid group disbanded after the King’s Fall hard mode released. Few came back for Rise of Iron and even less for D2.
-
Edited by Ghostfire239: 1/23/2018 7:57:56 PMI don’t really like anything in either raid. None of the gear seems good enough to get me to run the raid. No to mention the fact that the gear just looks plain or straight up ugly
-
Me. Just got tired of it. I enjoyed D1 raids. Why raid now? There’s no Vision of Confluence etc that’s a must have.

1 ReplyDone both and lair is more fun than reg and prestige leviathan is trash and buggy as the adds are ll350 and we are scaled to 300
