Sure eververse isn't pay to win. But it is pay to read the lore. Look at any exotic eververse is selling, they have lore attached to them. They are gone at the end of each season maybe to never be seen again. Pay to win isn't the issue. Pay to have the full story is. That is rediclous. Why this isn't talked about more is insane. Bungie what were you thinking

you can read the lore on every piece in bungoverse. I think the problem with what you're talking about is that when a season ends, if I have the item and either need space or accidentally delete it, it's gone. the collection kiosks from D1 need to come back and should include certain Legendary items. Nothing planetary, as we already have access to repurchasing those.
