I really can't believe that Bungie is almost completely ignoring this pr disaster. YouTube and gaming sites are filling up with coverage of the anti Eververse revolt. Bungie just doesn't care? They are so about money that they just literally don't give a s**t? Really? I'm amazed.
Product companies that stop caring about their customers and just treat them as cash cows eventually pay the price. I thought this was common sense? I predict Bungie will give us all a few free engrams in Jan and hope we shut up. It's amazing what idiots they take us for. Maybe they've been right until now. But no more. Destiny becoming a shop must stop.
#REMOVEEVERVERSE
Edit. Ok, i know it's Christmas.
But...
I see 2 possible explanations here.
1 Bungie made a nice holiday event for us and is now enjoying a Christmas break.
2 Bungie dropped a turd of a microtransaction event in our laps then ran for the hills leaving no one to deal with the fallout
Edit 2. Yes i know Chris Barrett tweeted 3 sentences, basically 'we'll be looking into it in a few weeks' (after this event) barely counts as a response to a pr disaster of this magnitude.
Also Seraphim Crypto a volunteer ninja is engaging with the community in a constructive way.
But this extremely low level of official response is shocking. Unless you factor in the possibility that they don't care-microtransactions roll on while they ignore us
Edit 3.
Engadget-'uproar'
comicbook-'#RemoveEververse backlash'
Polygon-'community outrage'
Destructoid-'full-on revolt'
411mania-'community revolting'
hardcoregamer-'eververse problem'
gamerrant-'forums overrun'
Wccftech-'community rioting'
PlayStation lifestyle-'eververse complaints'
Mp1st-'community strikes back'
So....how is this not a pr disaster?
Re-Edit 4
Ok so some of the debate has changed to how exactly to fix the Eververse situation, in a constructive way. Toxic forum? Not always.
In summary, it's agreed that current Eververse loot needs to go into the general loot pool to increase replayability. Many want Eververse to go completely, many accept Tess Avarice will need to stay in some reduced form.
After that, there are many good suggestions for getting to a better D2 such as reintroducing quality of life changes from D1. For new ideas, I recommend the vandal_heart_ post under kellogg's post (though there are many more good ones). I'd love to play that game.

Edited by Nimmer: 12/26/2017 11:10:24 PMThey've been ignoring their customers since D1... hello? Nothing new here. I find it insane that people are just now caring. It's been going on since D1 launched. They ignore any sort of negative criticism - and by any, I mean any, including constructive - and simply placate real issues with little treats. The Bungie community always accepts the little treats as apologies, i.e. "omg!!!! ty for adding private lobbies, a standard gameplay feature in most games, a year after launch!!! ty so much Bungle, you're the best!!!" as if Bungie has ever done anything to really solve issues instead of band-aiding them. It truly baffles me how blind this community has been. It took EverVerse in it's ultimate form for the lot of you to band together and actually demand something significant. Everyone picking their butts and shoving their heads in the sand is how it got to this point. The fact that D1 was P2P in this generation was a massive game flaw. D2 being P2P should have been completely unacceptable.

Bump. Anyone that thinks eververse is good is either an employee of bungie, a shareholder or a smelly fanboy.
-
it is sad because they could have one person at home go on their own comp every few hrs to just say something, heck that person could just make a standing thread and list say the top 20 complaints players have and give say 3 random ideas to each one how they may fix each thing and leave it there just so everyone can see something. not really hard its not like millions of people are not already working and having to actually drive somewhere. hell it was negative 15 when i got to my job this morning. they can have someone post from a comp from home easy

Edited by U12070628: 12/26/2017 8:25:21 PMIt’s ok guys, bungie will be back to -blam!- you again after their break. They’re just giving your bunghole time to heal.
-
It's Christmas plain and simple they are off now until the new year
-
6 RepliesHonestly, youd think if deej gave a single -blam!- about his job, you know 'community manager' the guy the whole community berates regularly. You'd think if he gave one single fu ck about this community, he would be here communicating with the community. It really is time for him to go too im afraid. How dare he sit there calling himself the manager of this community, when in actuality he has zero participation in it. Its criminal, he is very literally stealing money from bungie, pretty sure bungie have rules about employee theft, instant dismissal usually.
-
Yeah they're off until after new year so won't hear anything until then. They said they will start making plans for changing some things but for all I know it won't be much
-
These forums are another type of cancer.
-
Been a regular since day one D1, but logged on to see what the Dawning was about, logged off and not been on since, and No did not buy anything from the trash depot, I am tired of being nickeled and dimed to death, I have not played any game but destiny for over 3 years stick a fork in it I am done until they delete Eververse period!
-
Is time to leave this abusive relationship. Get a refund and spit in bungie's face.
-
Cd projekt red should have made destiny it would be way better
-
2 RepliesNo, they don't plan on ignoring you guys. That's because when they come back from vacation they are going to say thank you for the Xmas bonus. Whoops! I mean, they will make a sincere apology.
-
hey man i’m completely against eververse to but i know that these guys want to take a holiday and be with their families. they have lives outside of this game.
-
3 RepliesI hope they ignore you guys. Tbh I would just like the forums to have variety. Not this.
-
18 RepliesThey did respond about talking about it AFTER Christmas break. Ffs Bungie is run by humans. These people have families too, how can you be so damn selfish and inconsiderate? People like you need to check yourselves in the mirror and rediscover your humanity. Selfish as hell.
-
2 Replies1. They are on holiday right now 2. Christopher Barrett acknowledge the evervese issue.
-
Twitter is your friend....
-
2 RepliesIt's Christmas! These people actually have families to go back to. They are taking a break from all the people like you on here.
-
3 RepliesLol you haters curse Bungies name and wish evil upon them everyday but want them to respond with respect and dignity?
-
13 RepliesAm I missing something here? What does Eververse have to do with game play? Is there some secret upgrade that you MUST have that you have to pay for it? It's not like you have to play 4295 hours, or spend $2100 to complete the game. Other than an ornament or some silly emote, which is had via silver dust, there is nothing I would spend a dime on in there. IOW, Geez people, Get a LIFE
-
13 RepliesBungie needs to stop listening to bratty little kids like you that cry about everything. So im glad that they are not responding to his bs. There is nothing wrong with Eververse. If you do not want to spend any extra money in game then don't. Its as simple as that. Everything is in the loot pool anyway. I have gotten 2 swords and the Hunter cloak from the daily gifts.
-
3 RepliesThey are never going to remove eververse from Destiny 2. There is no legitamate reason to. . Unless some how someone can prove a legitamate reason, that is not an inflated personal opinion, about why it should be removed.
-
9 RepliesGame developers work extremely hard, man. They deserve a break, even if the game is in a sub-par state right now. Just keep up #RemoveEververse and they’ll see it when they get back.
-
It's the holidays, just who do you think is going to do anything over Christmas?
-
1 ReplyWhat part of "we are taking a 3 week holliday" didnt you understand? The 3 weeks? Or the part where they cant respond if they arent there?
-
I thought they did on Twitter?
