Stop playing the game until Eververse gets removed!
When Microtransactions arrived in Destiny1 my first thought was „This Eververse bullshit will destroy the potential of this franchise over time“. Needless to say the BDF went nuts to defend the moneygrabbing practices. „We will get free DLC‘s...blabla...we will get free events...bleblu...we will get more and faster patches...blable...they need money for making the franchise better.“
And look where we‘re at now. Destiny 2 is a shell of a game the revolves around cosmetic crap behind paywalls. They gave us a 3hour 20bucks DLC and half of the DLC-items are in Eververse. Even the „free“ christmas event is just a blatant and obvious moneygrab. The game has so many flaws and missing parts and all they‘re focussing on is making more money through Eververse. So much potential wasted just for shoving more money into their asses.
Personally I was stupid enough to fall for their advertising. I thought „Well, D1 has it‘s flaws but it went down a rocky path and it was their first try and they fixed many things over time...how in the world can the sequel be worse? It will be at least as good as D1 Y3, maybe not content wise but most certainly gameplay wise!“. So I bought the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Boy, I have never been that wrong in my entire life...
If you think Eververse is fine and you don‘r see the problem, you‘re part of the problem. If you buy silver to get cosmetics, you‘re part of the problem. And if you still play the game grinding desperately fot those cosmetics, sadly you‘re also a part of the problem.
Please, don‘t be a part of the problem, be a part of the solution instead. What is the solution? Do not play the game. There are so many awesome games in the stores for free or little money, you‘ll have plenty of other options to choose from. Support posts like these to shove it into their faces and to make it more public. The media sees this and it’s already spreading, but it takes time to force Bunglevision to change course. If we stand together, it WILL happen!
EDIT: Wow, there are still a lot of BDF members left that swallow every turd that Bunglevision shits on us with pleasure. But we all know they‘re a small minority. Keep it up guys. If only one other guardian stops playing this game, my thread wasn‘t a waste.

I've deleted the game and don't plan on playing it again until substantial changes are made to make the quality of the game better. People can spend money on microtransactions if they wish which doesn't bother me because it ain't my money being thrown in the gutter. Imo I do believe that eververse should go because it gives us more incentive to actually play the damn game and feel a sense of accomplishment we get that dank look

It's not the weapons/armor i need to be getting, no, it's those ghosts, emotes, shaders, sparrows, and ornaments with Tess that will help me beat the raid, guardians in crucible, etc. Let me grab that shiny shader from Tess, that will have Calus shaking in fear. Lol seriously, some of yall have lost it and gone off the deep end. This man really said the game revolves around cosmetic crap...lol....

Most of them will never completely stop playing unless they already have chosen to do so. Even though a FULL BOYCOTT is the only thing that will work, these pretend-protesters will cave the moment Bungie simply "lessens" the eververse store. Kiddies are all talk.

[u]I said Stop Playing it Entirely.[/u] Let's be clear, [i]Activision does not care about your game experience[/i]. If they see people are playing, in their eyes people are still supporting the game and they see it as opportunity to monetize it as much as possible. If you want your voice to be heard, then speak with your Time by not playing. However. Don't drop the game hoping things will get better. Understand that Destiny will probably die as a franchise [u]BUT[/u] this is bigger than Destiny, this is about punishing extreme monetization in all of their titles. Hopefully this will give you cause to not buy games published by Activision.

tbh, Eververse isn’t the worst thing about Destiny 2, but Yeah, i can still see that Tons Of People don’t like it and I understand that. But, Eververse doesn’t have to be removed from the game. Bungie needs to make some Tweaks and Changes to the Eververse.

That won’t be happening personally, though I agree the better rewards should be locked behind activities like Raids, Nightfall’s, Hard Modes and such, rather than annoying Brights that generally drop turds and promote nothing more than spending actual money due to frustration.
