I will be following is Skillup's footsteps. This game has been the biggest disappointment I've experienced in a long time.
My biggest regret isn't that I purchased this game, it is that I served as an advocate for this game prior to its release. I encouraged all of my coworkers and friends to buy it, and they did. I even encouraged them to stick around for the DLC to come for it would improve on the game drastically, but that is clearly not the case.
I had to personally apologize to all of my friends and coworkers for the disappointment that is Destiny 2.
I've officially retired from Destiny 2. I will never purchase another product from Bungie nor will I be playing the next DLC (even though I've already purchased it). Bungie is clearly no longer the company they used to be and in my eyes, Activision Bungie is the same as EA Dice.

14 RepliesCool. I will not. I can't disagree with much of what he said, but don't agree with how feels. I'm still having fun playing and will continue to until I don't. Eververse is not that big of an issue with me, however I agree 100% Heroic strikes should not be "pay" modes, nor should the MIghtfall behind a "pay wall" - they need to keep the old level cap NFs in for those that don't desire to purchase the DLC. Since I never "loved" Bungie in the first place, I'm not taking my disappointment in certain aspects of Destiny 2 so personally. While I hope they improve, if they don't and I get bored, I'll simply move on to something else. There will not be a "goodbye" post here on the forums; I'll just leave.

It’s quite sad because all these YouTubers end their destiny careers but realize they don’t stand a chance without it so they keep making videos repeating the same points on why they hate it over and over again.

1 ReplyDestiny 2 is probably the most frustrating game I have ever played. Looks stunning, sounds amazing, and plays great (run, jump, shoot, ect.) It also had 3 years of D1 experience to utilize. Almost everything about this game outside of that screams laziness and the DLC highlights that perfectly. Level increase of 5. WTF is the point if you couldn't be bothered to add new subclasses or skills. Power level increase. Again, there is no point to this. New Armor. Looks different but does the exact same thing as every other armor set. New Weapons. Same perks. Some good guns but a lot of them are trash New Exotics: Except the for ones that we are reusing from D1. The micro transaction stuff, the xp throttling, the moving content behind a dlc paywall. None of that bothers me that much. I just can't stand that they have set the expectation bar so low that people are happy with the slightest bit of content, no matter how little thought and effort went into it. I feel awful that I convinced my friends to buy this game.

To do that would provide no contrast for what I do and don't like. If EA were to release a good, solid experience (like what A Way Out is shaping up to be) I would buy it for what it is and the message would be received by EA that I appreciated that content. A total embargo does not allow good content to shine through. I agree with SkillUp and the many others on here though in the fact that I don't have trust in Bungie. Not anymore. But, if by some miracle we get the changes that we ask for I'm not going to continue to abandon the game as some sort of retribution. Even if it takes until 2020 to get to where we want it to be it'll be on my radar. I'm open to them fixing it, and hope they do. I'm out for now, but I could come back. Trust can be earned back.

Haven't seen. Don't care to. The guy is a big baby. Used to love his content back when he covered pretty much only the division even if I didn't always agree with him. But now he's just a baby about things. Now if only he'd leave the warframe community too.

As a destiny fan, it hurts to see how disappointing Destiny 2 and Curse of Osiris was. I’m hoping that bungie actually listens to everyone’s criticism and make a good game. And continue to expand with Destiny 3 and beyond, don’t just push reset because you want to make money off of DLC.

I'm beyond disbelief at this point... I've shared more negative thoughts in this forum than I have ANY other place period. D1 had the benefit of being a new thing that was trying something different, the ONLY thing that D2 had to do to be successful was to make more of D1. But the decisions all around are baffling cause I can't see how this would benefit ANYONE... not the consumers and not the developer. That only leaves the publisher. I personally think the blame lays on the leads of the Bungie team for their game design, and the rest of the game on the publishers for pushing consumers into a certain behavior.

Personally I like alot of what D2 has to offer, I like the gunplay,environments,lore but it just feels underwhelming this time around. One thing I think has already been pointed out is you have all these people defending the game and saying seeya,and nobody's going to miss you. If the player base keeps leaving at this rate the game will die, because the people still playing will have even less people to play with and then they will leave, it's the carry on effect. I'm not going to stop playing because hey I got both expansion passes and I'm going to get my money's worth but if things don't change by the next expansion it's hard to say but I think I'll be done with this game and company as well. It's a sad time for Destiny as a franchise because this game has SOO MUCH POTENTIAL! But at this point that's all it is. It's not a bad game in its current state but it not a good one either. Its a forgettable game because it doesn't have any of those epic moments.Those awesome 1v3 trials plays,finally beating Oryx on HM, getting that got role or exotic you've been grinding for for weeks or even months.It feels to me like Bungie is having an identity crisis with D2 trying to cater to everyone, the casual, the hardcore, PvP, PvE but it's not doing any of these things particularly well. I think Bungie for the sake of their game,franchise and reputation just need to come out and say the direction this game is taking and what/who they are targeting so people can either jump on board and help with constructive criticisms or just move on and find something else. Any way that my 2cents

Good on you, don't play stuff you don't like. I'll be sticking with it, a few hours a week, enjoying it for what it is, and lamenting that it's not what I wish it was. But then, nothing is really. Overwatch was repetitive and boring. Battlegrounds 2 is a fast TTK sloppy mess with great graphics. Titanfall is good, but i'v'e played that experience out, and there's not much of a reason to go back to it. So, D2 fills a gaming need that needs to be scratched, but it's very far from the MMOFPS we were promised before D1 launch.

Hurts my brain that people sit here saying that if u have a negative attitude towards this game on the FORUMS then u need to get off the forums. The forum BY DEFINITION is made so that they can look at it and try to fix what people don’t want. If they come on here seeing that a big YouTuber that promoted their game has left causing other people to leave, plus the post has 400 like, they r gonna notice that shit. U want people to just sit here accepting what they’re doing??? People posting these posts r gonna save the game and in the end make it a better experience for the people that still play the game and cause the people that left to come back.

Don't you fan boys understand, without people playing the game, the game doesn't survive. You don't want people leaving the game, you want people flocking to it! Demand a better product from this developer, don't just take it up the ass every time they release a product. Its obvious at this point we know who wears the pants in this Activision/Bungie partnership, and its really starting to show.
