Problem is that its not for demanding hardcore gamers and they expect it to be. Some HCGs want endless relevant content for minimum price and expect Bungie to keep up with their addiction no matter how many hours they sink in to it or how skilled they become as players they want continuous challenge/rewards and get narky when their desires are not met.

Are we supposed to be shocked that the casuals that helped bring ruin to Destiny are in love with this garbage? Good! We're glad the disregard for us people that kept the community alive these past 3-4 years that got tossed to the side to attract you guys to the game was worth it.

Soooooo...im loving the dlc alot...buuuut, The story takes 3 hours, taking it slow and enjoying the graphic artwork. The prophecy weapons take about an hour each to open. All three normal and heroic adventures take an hour and a half to do all 6 runs. Even all that considered, thats only 8-9 hours worth of NEW content. Add in another 5 hours to do ALL milestones and thats about 15 hours to 100% do everything on 1 character. If youve spent 10 hours and not even opened a prophecy box, you either suck at this game and had tons of restarts or you ran around doing nothing but twirl your joystick in circles. Im not a Destiny Hater, but im also not in denial. Theres about 45-50 hours worth of content if you have 3 characters and you do EVERYTHING there is to do this week. Which I personally feel is worth the 20 dollar price tag, but you can't be pretending theres any more than that here.

I'm loving the game just as I have since D1. Does it have some areas to improve? Yes, it does, but it's still a great game. I don't get the people saying that the DLC takes no time to complete. Campaign isn't too long, that's true, but there are so many other things to do. The only real changes the game has to make, in my opinion, is to make exotics better, take more time to make gear that looks very different, and make it more like vanilla D1 where you would get a weapon and have to level it up to get all the perks. Other than that, the game is still fun and time consuming if you want to get all the gear and level up your characters. Every time I read someone say they finished the whole DLC in 2 hours I cringe and immediately imagine a pedantic middle class momma's boy teenager with no life.

The story was garbage theres only about 6 or 7 story missions 2 of which have the same layout as the strikes it is WAY too easy to level up in just 3 days i have a 322, 323 and a 319 (started all 3 at 305 )character and all ive done is the milestones and story i havent even touched the raid this week The problem with this game is that is a dumb down version of destiny im guessing i'll be done in just over a weeks time

It’s extremely disappointing. The story is bland at best, the best weapon is only the best because it’s broken, too many old exotics. Bungie has become the king of selling back old shit, and I fell for it... again.

Enemies/ai brain dead boring to fight. Story, despite having one of the most complex and potentially most interesting enemy faction being the focal point, takes all that lore.. Absolutely nowhere. The story itself was just ok. Rewards, at least what I received, from the campaign were bland. Some of the new exotics look pretty cool, unfortunately the last few exotic engrams I've gotten have turned into duplicates of vanilla weapons. Which is just wonderful. All in all, it just isn't fun

Okay, what did I think of it? 1. Campaign: Good to great. The Vex are an idea that is difficult to tell a story that also works as a video game campaign, especially a shooter, because, in the end, whatever the plot, you have to shoot something to beat it. There was potential for more moving forward and backward in time, or even in simulated versions of the existing planets in different times, but it is a DLC, and that's more a full game sized notion in terms of development. Of the expansion campaigns, it was on the level of Rise of Iron, behind Taken King, and dusted the rest. 2. Patrol Area. Yeah. It's too small, and exists solely to hold the public event. Which is pretty cool, when you aren't being launched into the side of things. But terribly unrewarding. The reliance on tokens really hurts my enjoyment of what is otherwise a cool fight. Not saying it should drop ten exotics every time, but for the effort, if you're not getting off the token parade, then make it drop the most in the game. Reward us. 3. Weapon forging. Have only forged the first, which seems to be basically a gift to you, but the idea seems cool. Not going to complain about the grind involved, since this is a grindy game. 4. Heroic adventures. Boy do I wish I'd tried this in a group cause I got stomped. I'd suggest optional matchmaking for these, but Bungie is big on the whole "play with people, just don't have readily available tools in game to meet them." The infinite forest feels like the first iteration of what could be a brilliant idea-more interesting patrol areas, more random public events-so I hope they do more with it. 5. Haven't gotten any of the new weapon exotics yet, and even if I had, I suck at PVP and therefore am not qualified to talk about weapons in glowing terms in how well they are at PVE and then declare they suck in PVP. Basically, the DLC is what D2 is to me: an enjoyable framework for a really good game. I hope Bungie actually gets around to filling out the skeleton, though. D2 has some annoying flaws, but despite that I generally enjoy playing it.

I think bungie should put a little more effort into making sure people can't just run past their entire dlc.

I'm still going strong. Waiting for my clan to do the heroic adventures cause I finished one solo but it kicked my ass the whole time.

It didn't blow me away but it's got enough there to keep me busy, had most of the clan grinding public events for weapon forging materials last night which hasn't happened in weeks. It's nice to have some grind back and I haven't got any of the new exotics yet really and the guns look good. I agree mercury is a little small and could have done with more to do and the story didn't have that epic ending the main campaign did but it was still ok, it's an expansion at the end of the day and that's what it's done for me, expanded the game.

The story is pretty good, but d2 is just a regression in general.
