Bungie can drop as many DLC’s as they want but it wont fix that fact that Destiny 2 should have extended on the success that was Destiny “Age of Triumph.”
Destiny 2 shouldnt have been a new starting point for the Destiny franchise. It should have brought forward the key aspects that made Destiny 2 a destiny game
Loot, Heroic modifiers, loot, random roles, powerful exotics, loot, end game actually mattering, loot again
Destiny 2 just doesnt have the spark Destiny 1 had which is why I just find it disappointing. DLCs shouldnt be what is fixing Destiny. Its like we’re paying for a hotfix. Who even complained about the heroic strike playlist? Honestly.
Destiny 2, comparing to the end of Destiny 1’s lifespan, is a damn joke. Seeing how Bungie wont fix, add, or remove things the community is asking of them (such as removing the token system, or adding an actual endgame) this game is beyond saving
Destiny 1 had the excuse of “oh, the game will get better overtime thanks to DLCs” but the same case cant be made for D2. D2 should have been great from the very start.

The only hope to make this game something great is the big September expansion, what it turns out to be. Until then, we will have to tolerate how the game is for the most part. Hopefully it d9es the game justice.

*Yawn* You bore me.
-
To be honest I think Bungie is beyond saving.

Started a new topic: Battlefront 2 pulled me away from this crap game.(2 Replies))
-
It's gonna take a couples years. Im glad i didn't get the season pass
-
If they're not budging, then I agree. I mean, the game will probably keep a small playerbase but beyond that..
-
3 RepliesGoing from forums, I would have thought d2 needed to be a totally new start. All I heard on here was bitching about every aspect. I can't make a single thing in the game that wasn't bitches about, including strike loot
-
1 ReplyThat what people said all the time during all three years of D1

131 RepliesYou’re wrong. It’s an unfortunate thing that you’re wrong, but you’re wrong. Bungie found a formula with D1 that generated the most amount of money over the longest amount of time. Whether this was by accident or not is a different conversation; I’m sure you know why D1 shipped with such a small amount of content, so I don’t think I need to go over that. If you don’t, look it up. In doing so, they were forced to add to the game over time, generating more money with each DLC. Bungie’s job isn’t to make games, their job is to make money. That’s what a successful business does: it makes money. So here we are with D2, which will likely face a similar trajectory. They’ll add to the game over time, and by the end of its 3-year cycle, we’ll ultimately have what you claim we should have had in the beginning. Whether you think this method is appropriate is irrelevant. It’s clearly successful. It clearly makes money. If you’re so against what Bungie is doing, speak with your wallet instead of your words and stop supporting something you don’t believe in. I don’t mind spending an extra $30 every few months because I enjoy the game. Call me whatever you want, but I’m a realist more than anything, and I understand the landscape of the situation. Bungie isn’t to blame here. The people that spent $1K+ on Candy Crush are to blame. The people that shell out twice the price of launch titles so they can get LE figurines are to blame. The people willing to buy a new console with some fancy crap painted on it for an extra $500 are to blame. Welcome to next generation gaming. We’ve been here for well over a decade now. If you didn’t see this coming, you’re a fool. Once you’ve climbed out from the rock you’ve been living under, consider seeking justice with your wallet instead of your petulant, entitled, naive and childish words.

Edited by blade329: 11/23/2017 8:42:16 AMYeah, pretty much. Activision and Bungie have set the direction of the game and that's pretty much it. It's a casual limited content arcade FPS now. The hard core players, competitive PvP guys and people who loved to grind in D1, are wasting their time with this game. It's not going to change. Oh, Bungie will play lip service and tweak a little here and there. Rotating the meta will still happen, I'm sure. They will release more and more mundane loot. Maybe change the color of exotics to orange to wow the 8 year olds who like shiny things. A bunch of minimal effort changes to keep the fan boys in line. They have gone way too far in this direction to go back now. I don't see that happening. Players who are hoping against hope for an exciting fantastic innovative Destiny experience are living in a fantasy world.

Just seen Destiny 2 has just dropped below the £20 (new, not used) mark in the UK. Good luck getting anything for it on trade in now.
-
I'm not buying anymore of Bungies rubbish until the loot and vendor longevity issues are resloved in a free update
-
yes if you keep expanding a bad foundation the result will be always bad , D2 is beyond saving at this point
-
1 ReplyD2 sucks I loved D1 but honestly can’t defend D2 it’s so boring and shitty loot
-
1 Replyso many tiny things were -blam!-ed with between games that d2 will never be as good as it could have been. That being said, only 2 things are necessary for d2 to still be a great game: 1. Dedicated servers. This would allow more stable gameplay at higher player counts. Both pvp and pve could be rejuvinated with many more options for new and diverse activities. 2. Going back to random perk rolls, or better yet, using a more creative random item generator like those used in real looter games. This would allow for nearly a infinite pool of items to chase after.

Oh yea I absolutely agree. But at the same time, I'll give Bungo this, they're clever for knowing that the Destiny community would blindingly pre-order D2. But they used the oldest trick in the book which is lying, and that's stupid because they lost the trust of the entire Destiny community. But again, it's our fault because lets face it, our community is naive and gullible. Let me dumb it down: Bungie: "Okay what's the plan? What do we do to make this game amazing?" Community: "Oh baby! Destiny 2!(throws money at the flatscreen)." Bungie: "Lolol our community is so stupid! We got hundreds of millions in pre-order! Just put this and throw in that and title it Destiny 2 haha!" But if everybody was smart and being skeptical about Bungie, this is what would have happened: Bungie: "Okay what's the plan? What do we do to make this game amazing? Community: "I'm not trusting Bungie, I don't trust anyone!" Bungie: "Well we barely have any pre-orders, so keep making ideas so that this game becomes so good that we can get sales going." But don't ever get your hopes high for the second scenario, that's a one in a lifetime occurence. Last one that I can remember this happening with was Titanfall 2.

Edited by phildev: 11/22/2017 7:01:16 PMdestiny 2 = casual shit show... no insentives, no carottes, no engame for gamers ... casual proof gameplay where everybody can get everything very fast = boring for gamers with no motivating factors to play more or better... DLCs previews : so far DOUBLE the tokens.. to make it more rewarding?????? they are just stupid.. at this point I really think that they must do drugs.. PS: AND WOW IRONBANNER what is that?!! something new? NO !! FK. NOO! MOre Tokens....

I watched this game bounce back too many times to think this is the case
-
9 RepliesNot only is it beyond saving but i have yet to hear anything from Bungie indicating that they are even going to try. Basically we (the hard core destiny 1 players) are getting a big middle finger from smith and company.
-
I completely agree with you. They successfully took out the magic and inserted a giant dollar sign instead.

Edited by A_BoondockSaint: 11/23/2017 1:38:29 AMI had so much hope for this game but it flat out sucks. I log in for 15 min and ask myself what are u doing? And how long has it been since anyone has seen a response from bungie on any post. The way i was raised was to face stuff head on. Seems like they are hiding to me. Just very disappointed in the game and bungies response to the game.

1 ReplyWhat needs to be done is D2 needs to be bulldozed the majority of the weapons and armors deleted (uriels gift should not even exist) D1 content needs to be readded. They need to left us have our old vaults back and scrap all of d2 but the story period.
-
You do realize that we got to this point thanks to the crybaby posts since day 1 right? Lol..
-
The content of destiny should have been left available to destiny two. Same engine just we are in a different Loot and skill system. Same otherwise. Plus the improvements should have come forward.
-
Yeah this game sucks
