I haven’t played Leviathan and I’m rather burnt out on Destiny, so I wanted to know if the new raid is just as much a kick in my private parts as King’s Fall was on Heroic.
-
I’ve only played Leviathan once, but got used to the mechanics very quickly, even if I don’t want to play the Raid ever again. As for King’s Fall, it took me several attempts to have any sort of clue. So mechanics-wise, it’s simpler, but for other reasons, I hate it with a burning passion and am now bored of D2.

Until you have the raid mechanics down they're all pretty hard to be fair. I think this one is the biggest pain in the rear due to you having a countdown to revive a fallen ally. If you don't or can't get them up within 30 seconds the entire team wipes.
-
I wouldn't say Leviathan is "harder" than King's Fall, but if you haven't done Leviathan yet, it may feel more difficult on your first few clears. The parts most teams will struggle with in the Leviathan is Calus (the boss), but getting to him usually isn't a struggle. The main thing that made King's Fall difficult was how in some scenarios, one player dying ultimately caused a wipe, which doesn't occur in the Leviathan unless everyone has used up their rez tokens.

It all depends on the team you play with if one person screws up you have to wipe so I’d say they are similar in many ways

I never played Destiny 1 but I do know a lot about The Taken King Raid (Oryx Raid) and as opposed to some parts of most Raid in Destiny 1 you can not solo the raid. However there are many more mechanics in The Leviathan Raid. If you have never done the raid then it may be difficult but I would be more than willing to teach the Raid to you I'm on Xbox 1. Not to be creepy just trying to help people out I'm 305 on all my character and I'm experienced in the raid just hit me up for help on the raid if you've never done it before👍👌😄

2 RepliesI haven't played leviathan but here are my observations Hard? No More Tedious and time consuming? Yes

4 RepliesEdited by PapaSubpar: 11/22/2017 8:01:32 PMNothing about King's Fall was hard. Oh, and I am seeing a lot of "Kings Fall was more rewarding" posts down below. All I have to say to that is BULLSHIT! I remember multiple times running Kings Fall and getting nothing but Moldering Shards. I even had a run on Oryx where my 20 moldering shards turned into 2 moldering shards.
-
Once you get the mechanics down, leviathan is pretty easy. Getting the mechanics down is the tricky part. A blind run will be challenging.
-
You can glitch every encounter to have minimal adds. It's the easiest raid by far, yet people still -blam!- it up.
-
Less rewards more aggravating. Still easier than kings fall though. Leviathan rewards are a kick in the nutsack
-
3 RepliesNope. Way easier and less glitchy. But way, WAY less rewarding.

Edited by CoLt_45: 11/23/2017 5:09:23 AMNo way, but hard mode is a stupid bullet sponge fest and all with crappy guns so that is more of a burnout than kingsfall
-
I never did Kings Fall but Leviathan is fairly easy and quick depending on whether you open the chests. I recommend
taking Solar Burn Energy weapons. A Scout rifle for the Gauntlet and a Curtain Call for the Bathers, Dogs, and Calus.
-
Pretty easy compared to KF.
-
KF was only hard because it was buggy. You’d get to the very end and pass through the orb or fall through a platform as the runner, or ogres would teleport. Pound for pound they’re the same difficulty. It’s hard to “hide” the weak link in Levi, as everyone need to do their role in sync for it to work.

Edited by Antic Archon: 11/23/2017 5:30:56 AMFlash back to Oryx "One up." "Two up." "Three up." Guardian down. Falls through platform. Gets slammed by the ship. Ogre still alive. Wipe.

NO

There is more to memorize in Leviathan. There are also a lot more glitches. But no, it is not harder. Prestige mode has bullet sponges... but it's not hard.

8 RepliesBoth raids on heroic are easy

Its boring

Kings Fall is better than garbage Leviathan Raid I hate Leviathan Raid it is the worst Raid I ever played It is boring
-
No way is it harder or better in any way.

Edited by Kage Verix: 11/22/2017 8:51:12 PMKing's Fall raid was a counter-attack against an invading force that is here to try to kill us all. You fight your way through the enemy commanders to get to and defeat the enemy leader. . Leviathan raid is a test Calus made to see how competent gaurdians are in battle & our problem solving skills. We were invited to take part in the test. Calus has yet to show any hostile intent towards us. There is only one boss because why would he waste actual need troops and commanders on a test. We are most likely only fighting maintenance crews.
