We've removed this chart because people are using it to spread a false narrative of the Destiny 2 player population. Daily Unique users is a misleading statistics to use as basis for the active population of the game, any game in that matter. Not everyone plays video games 24/7, besides maybe at launch. We hoped our article would've cleared this up a bit but it seems it hasn't. To halt people from making false narratives based on the numbers we provide we decided to stop showing them in this chart.

you mean you removed it because it was a perfectly accurate metric of the -blam!-ups made by employees and leadership at the company. Here's a suggestion: Listen to someone for once?

Since Bungie joined with Activision, I've noticed something going on. A problem. No, this isn't its general decline or staff leaving, etc. . Those are only the most obvious symptoms of the underlying problem. Bungie, through the influence of Activision, is beginning to adopt the ideas, philosophies and techniques of every other sleazy triple A game publisher. They ignore customer outrage; they release unfinished games, withholding content to be released later in DLC; they implement microtransactions; and they just do anything for cheap cash. All of this behaviour mirrors exactly what I see other bad publishers do. But it doesn't stop there. Bungie has adopted another technique, taking themselves even closer to, or perhaps further beyond, the point of no return, rock bottom, the end. This technique, is of course, delete the evidence of failure and controversy! Deny the proof and call the customers liars, cover up the nasty bits and sweep it all under the rug. I have no words to describe it, short of disgusting.

There's no False narratives Bungie thought they could be bigger then halo and now must accept defeat accept the fact that they had a great idea and got greedy that there no better then EA and there microtransactions
-
Once again Bungie shows that it is in its own bubble and is incapable of accepting the reality and gravity of their monumental mistakes. Start listening to your playerbase Bungie, or don't expect people to buy your next rehashed £40 time wasting, boring, bland, RNG riddled expansion.

2 RepliesWow. Bungie has become another trump administration. Sad. Very sad. And DTracker joining you? There will be a reckoning. It's called bankruptcy. Deej, Mark, Luke; time to polish up that resume. I just successfuly got a refund from Microsoft for D 2. Putting my money where my mouth is.

9 Replies"Those are lies, terrible vicious lies." "Theyre ignorant." - Michael Jackson "I did not have relations with that woman" - bill Clinton "If the glove don't fit you must acquit" - johnny Cochran "Change you can believe in" - Obama "Make america great again" - trump "Lack of players in our own data graph of daily players doesn't mean people arnt playing, cause our game is awesome, we don't need stupid data or content or consumer feedback just money LA LA LA LA I can't hear you LA LA la" - bungie Obviously all these people were delusional. PS they're giving away free trials of the game. Wasn't that called eh, beta? Its not a subscription. Why are you giving free trials hmmm?

the funny thing is that these stats come from the bungie servers traffic statistics count so it's like they are saying "we don't want you to know how many are leaving" this counts how many unique logins the server has each day. the fact of the matter is the data suggests that there are very few "unique" aka different players playing on a daily basis, and you at bungie call that false narative, bungie this data is coming direct from you and shows the active player base for that day, just how is that showing false narrative?. if the data shows 750k unique players per day does that meen there are not more?, no it doesn't, it does however suggest that there is problem on bungies side understanding that the content isn't bringing in new players and players are leaving (or not playing for long periods) due to certain problems they are having with the game (whatever those problems may be). it makes matters worse when you decide that your not going to listen to that same player base on your own forums and focus on places like reddit to get any feedback from, even the data you go off from the game it mostly from PvP activities and has very little from PvE activities, then the data is used to "balance" the game which balances it for PvP but not for PvE, because everything is PvP with bungie and PvE becomes a side thought (the only way to fix this part is to have seperate balancing for PvP and PvE this will make guardians feel stronger in the PvE activities and have more fun in the PvP activities).

2 RepliesEdited by TheOrcBarbarian: 11/27/2017 8:45:10 PMI kind of agree that people are drawing false conclusions from the page, but it's a bit heavy handed to remove the statistics altogether. No I haven't stopped playing but I have stopped signing in every day. I maybe sign in once a week to do the Flashpoint, and check on Xur. I like a lot of my clan still play just not as much, this is greatly going to affect the daily population numbers. I'm sure most will be back for a few weeks when new content drops, and hopefully they'll fix the end game as well, so people have a reason to sign in every day.

6 RepliesDestiny 2 has been watered down to suit casual players. If that's what they want to do..then fine. Not for me though, I miss the grind so I've moved over to the fantastic WARFRAME. All my D2 pals have done the same. Its a hardcore grinder's wet dream....and its FREE!! I wasted £90 on D2. Never again, lesson learnt.

1 ReplyIt's funny that you guys are really bombing in this game and you remove something because you know people will see it and you want to pretend that it is false you know I can make up lies all the time too but I get caught in them just like you are getting caught in your lies okay everyone is disgusted with what you did with Destiny 2 okay now either you do something about it or more bad press like all I see on YouTube will keep happening over and over again Non-Stop how can you pretend that this is a fake statement your game sucks

How embarrassing that they've had to remove it and write that. You can feel the salt from reading it. -
1 ReplyThere were 2m PvE players yesterday. The daily numbers still exist. Some of you dumbasses are too stupid to read.
-
2 RepliesBungie's Destiny 2 is a joke, I would rather go and play D1 on my old ps3 than play d2 on my ps4 any day, the reason I don't is because none of my friends are on ps3 anymore only ps4! Screw Bungie and their "False" information, they are just to scared to admit that D2 IS a mistake!
-
5 RepliesLOL Bungie even nerfed Destiny Tracker
-
Yeah, D2 is just crap. I only play D1 now. Honestly a really fun game. The last meta is trash and the ability spam is annoying but besides that its a great game. I can move fast, my bullets go where I aim, when I get shot I know exactly how much damage I am taking, when I shoot people I know exactly how much damage I am dealing, the net code isn't trash... Its nice :)

92 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 10/25/2017 2:18:54 AM"False"? This company is in trouble and they are afraid to admit it. This is classic lol So overall everyone that has been talking about the player base dropping Bungie says all of you are liars. Lets here this again. A company that lied to their entire player base is calling everyone that has shown the truth on how many gamers have actually dropped from this game are a liar? Nice... Edit: What's next? this company has been making themselves look more foolish each week that goes by that I will not miss one bit of it. This is the most entertaining forum I have ever been on, so thank you Bungie for being a comedian and showing how you can so (easily push your nonsense on other people) because you are afraid to take responsibility for your own actions, and you are the one that provided the info. Man, I wish I could stuff that guilt so easily and blame other for my screw ups. This is what I think about your lie Bungie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca9GuwuOVZc
