All for aesthetics- minor cosmetic variants at that- it wouldn’t have been too difficult to add an intrinsic perk or aura that has a marginal benefit in pve activities - but god forbid we make challenging activities rewarding and alienate casuals..this is why you have an exodus of players Bungie. Edit- some of you have responded to make your indifference clear- that’s your prerogative, but the object of this is to articulate the problem in how the raid has been implemented (and how new content has been botched)..much of the criticism that y’all have noted can be extended to the game at large

3 RepliesYea, and I wanna say on the "casual gamer" side of it. I used to be a casual gamer, but when destiny came out and the vault of glass dropped. My mind was blown and became a hardcore destiny gamer. Hard mode especially pushed me to get better and be an asset to any raid group. Why? Because it was FREAKING WORTH IT. you had a mythoclast or helmet and people knew. You were lvl 30 and people knew. "That mf beat atheon on hard!"

Once you hit level cap, you bitch there isn't enough content. Then once they increase level cap you are right back to grinding. Or you quit Destiny for a few month and play Call of Duty, Battlefield or Warframe then you are right back in December / March for the DLC. You know who you are. And this is endless bitch and moan fest of the Destiny forums and now Destiny 2 forums as well. Because let's face it. Bungie isn't going to change their 10 year plan, so just get with the program, and play the game 1-2 times a week to keep things fresh. Don't burn yourself out by maxing out all you characters, then you will be right back here bitching and moaning about no content. The content is there, you just choose to do the content that gives you Powerful gear, and since there is no other content that you will do, then you will not enjoy the game. Play the game, the content is there. You just fail to see it because your mentality is - you always grinding for more Light levels instead of playing the -blam!-ing game. So just play the -blam!-ing game and enjoy it for what it is. A Mindless lootfest. Try out different builds. Play around with different guns. Play with your friends. But coming to forums to bitch when you have burned yourself out is -blam!-ing stupid and you know it. There are freaking 4 planets to play on. Titan, Nessus, Io, and the European Dead Zone. Multiple Crucible maps. New strikes. You choose what you will be doing. Maybe you will not get new powerful gear, but hey, you can grind for that 1 or 2 missing exotics. Thats something. Put on your big-boy pants and leave if you hate it so much. But for the love of god stop bitching like a girl. We are tired of it. You are tired of it. And frankly makes you look stupid. Tat you don't have thinking to apply it to your game style. Common sense that will take you further in life, not just gaming. how is that for 12 year old rant.

Boots: run quicker with charge, useful on castellum, gauntlet & dogs. Chest: take less damage from imperials, and/or Callus' laser. Arms: faster reload when on a plate/podium. Helmet: picking up,orbs in raid regent health. [spoiler]Took me years to come up with that.[/spoiler]

With no increase in the light level cap there is absolutely no point in doing the hard raid like in D1

Too many bugs and glitches makes it and almost luck only raid especially at dogs and callus

It's not. The armor and weapons aren't any better than the milestone rewards. If the weapons and armor had some perks that helped with the raid or original perks that could change up gameplay, it would be worth doing. Currently an emblem is not enough.

The new raid fckin sucks. I beat hard mode yesterday and doubt I will ever do it again. The bond doesn't do anything. I got two and tokens for the whole run. Even getting tokens means normal fcking gear. Why aren't they hard mode tokens that have a shot at hard mode gear? Or hard tokens = 3:1 ratio?

3 RepliesThis is the exact reason why I don't care if I do the raid. I mean, I'm a 303 Hunter that hasn't gotten past Dogs/Bathers or even personally seen Calus. At this point, aside from Shaders or Emblems, why do I need or why *should* I do the raid or even attempt anymore of it?

I've seen this "golden goose" of a shader and aura and still prefer my own shaders (i.e. midnight talon, gold trace, and calus selected) and the prestige NF aura over all that shiny crap.

I'm a casual and I agree. They could have made a special little door open at the boss fight and in there, some unique stuff for the real grinders, I would have been fine with that. Buy it from Xur a month or two later, I could wait. Bungie has been kings of missed opportunities.

There seems to be missing raid weapons that they could have dropped, such as the fusion rifle and shotgun, but didn't. People can say what they want, but bungie will most likely lose money over this, it just won't be realized fully until September, 2018. Hope they got a crack finance team.

5 RepliesI have just finished prestige mode rewards were not great it's all the normal mode gear but with a mostly gold shader it's on my warlock if people are interested. Was worth doing a play through though as they have changed the mechanics around a little bit more then they normally do for hard mode raids and it was a challenge. Hardest part of the Calus fight was the lack of ammo imagine the amount of ammo that drops on normal mode but the enemies needing twice as many bullets I was down to just 6 scout rifle bullets by the time we broke his final shield.
