3000 hours, 400+ raids, Destiny fan signing off.....
I usually don't make topics like this as I usually just don't care, but for a franchise like this to be so engrossing, so enveloping I feel it's different. To say I've been a HUGE fan of Destiny since launch would be somewhat of an understatement. But after 200+ hours in the current Destiny 2 and the gutting this series has had since it's predecessor I just don't feel the magic anymore.
The token system is retarded, the end game is non existent, ridiculously long cooldown times on abilities, completely lackluster exotics....ect. The fun has been completely sucked out of this game. I just don't understand how a developer could be so out of touch with their fan base. Everything that made Destiny 1 fun is gone.
I enjoyed all aspects of Destiny both PvP and PvE, I've been flawless numerous times in both Destiny 1 and 2, have completed every PvE activity like raids and gathered all the gear. But this sequel is just so unrewarding and dull I can't bring myself to continue to play. There is no point in playing this anymore, I just don't care to get more duplicats of weak gear that I'm going to turn into shards. I have over 2 thousand shards, why do I want more?
I used to go into the crucible for some fun and unwind, but now you have no real ability to make plays on your own unless you have super or power ammo. Instead of making your primary weapons more lethal to really encourage their use they nerfed every single one of them to the point that you are forced to run around holding hands and team shotting to get reliable kills. That isn't fun, it's boring. I'm a reasonably accomplished PvP player in both trials and regular PvP. I have no trouble going flawless when I want to, this isn't about me not being "good enough" I am confident in my ability. This is about fun, and it's gone. I don't want to team shot every single game.
The power fantasy is gone in both PvE and PvP. I hope this game improves with age and maybe Bungie brings back the fun factor.
Hope the fun returns fellow guardians, I'll check back every now and then but for me I must wake up now, the dream is over.

I can honestly say I was in some way addicted to D1 I took a break towards the end, has D2 hooked me? No i don't feel the urge to login as I used previously did. I have 3 characters at 305 it's not really fun anymore tbh. Exotics don't feel like exotics most legendary guns are equal if not better. Where are the unique loot drops from the raid or strikes, Fate bringer, VOC, Mythoclast weapons that felt it was worth the grind! Am I moaning or bitching I don't know but I think the game has gone backwards. You can't even sort out you damn vault it's painful to find anything, why no matchmaking, Jesus admit you are wrong. No playlists for crucible? No 6v6 no mayhem? I could go on but what's the point...

1 ReplyJust like everyone else who has posted, I couldn't agree more. Without friends to play with this game is pointless. I purchased this game to play on PS4 and PC. I basically threw away my money, since no one wants to play this game anymore. I've lost that loving feeling. Not sure if there is anything redeeming left in this game.

It doesn't give you a leg up in conversation; you'll even look like a tool using it to validate anything. I played destiny 1 since alpha but do I bring it up? Nope it's really not important the game was centered around the laid back gamer. Congratulations! You want hardcore in a causal game.......yeah there's no way to make that sound cooler sorry my guy

1 ReplyDestiny 2 is a loot game with no loot. Absolutely no reason to chase anything, the only thing with random rolls are the ghosts. I'm not even going to bother running prestige raid, just a emblem for doing a frustrating and longer version of the raid, no thanks

2 RepliesAnother thing I want to add aside from my long reply. Not once have I had this feeling "OMFG LMAO BBQ WTF ______ FINALLY JUST DROPPED FOR ME!!" all friends in activity with me cry and scream in jealousy. Not once has something "rare" dropped and I get out of control excited.

1 ReplyRaids used to be my favorite thing in destiny. I completed all raids in D1, in normal, hard and challenge mode multiple times and had the time of my life doing it. Until now. I knew Prestige Raid would be bullshit since I saw that Prestige Nightfall was pointless and overly difficult to the point of being unfun and annoying but I still wanted to give it a shot because I love raiding. Well, no more. Like the Prestige Nightfall, it is just pointless, annoying and unfun. It was the last thing left to try in D2 (I spend the rest of the time in this God forsaken game grinding public events) but even the raid experience, the ultimate endgame activity has been ruined in Destiny 2. It's time to say goodbye.
