Please stop with the casual/ hardcore shit. People who perceive the raid or whatever other activity to be hard are automatically labeled casual, but Destiny has been casual since inception by your same standards. All raids come with various flavors of cheese and can even be beaten with less than 6 players in some cases. Compare that to a 16 man raid from a game that is actually challenging, you'll get a laugh. Also, I personally have struggled with various activities and haven't done the raid. (Edit - and inside of these harder raids are actual roles to be played ON TOP OF the raid itself. We have no true tanks or healers in Destiny, never really have. Not a damn thing of the sort. Certain skills make specific activities easier but this is litererally a watered down, hypervisual take on actual raid based games.) That is entirely due to a lack of patience and me not caring for the gear. I know I'm not bad at this game, in no way a casual I got to 302 doing solo shit and playing PvP. You and anyone who choose to spend their time toiling through various content only really stand out in that you do the raids and Trials. Doesn't mean you are better or should have more say regarding future content or patches. That is pure, unadulterated entitlement. Do yourself a favor, there is nothing to agree or disagree with here. You and any likeminded person sound.. petulant. That isn't a word I use regularly at all lol, but I'll be damned if it doesn't fit in here perfectly like the last puzzle piece.

I don't perceive casual and hardcore the same way you do, perhaps that is a big factor here. Regardless what I said is true, a large part of the community don't venture into raids, when they do it's usually with a friend who wants to do it and took the time to either play through it themselves or watched vids. Thus making him not casual. A casual player will run through the story, some strikes and maybe a nightfall, after 3 weeks they're done and more on to other games. Why on earth should someone leaving the game in a few weeks get as much a say as someone staying for the long haul? That's not entitlement at all which is all I wrote.

And so you know, I don't perceive casual and hardcore at all. That is an invisible dividing line people who spend 8+ hours a day playing games invented to separate themselves from people who simply DON'T spend all their free time playing a single game in one sitting. To me, the only badge a "hardcore" player has to show for his/ her "work" is a numb ass after sitting down for ages. Everything else is smoke blowing out of your ass. Maybe because you can't feel your ass, you don't notice the smoke.

  • Hardcore: puts effort, learns strats, knows what to do in most situations in the game. Casual: Plays to mess around, doesn't care if they don't raid or do endgame, most fun is walking around patrol shooting stuff, moves on to the next game a month later

Again, I'm not wasting my time trying to explain why you simply can't box more than half the community into such a simplistic category, especially considering there are only 2 reasons why people like you do this anyway. I'll let you figure them out yourself, the first step is admitting it. You vehemently want what you expect, anything less is a failure and anyone who doesn't agree must be casual. News flash, bud! Nobody is losing sleep over all you so called "hardcore players" and every ounce of bitching being done. Bungie will blow your passive aggressive feedback out of their assholes and continue to go to Reddit and other far more reasonable sources for true feedback. Not this "Im a Destiny vet, pay attention to me" bullshit being peddled by a minority in the playerbase. Edit - Bungie isn't forcing you to complete all your milestones on tuesday and then whine about how much you miss PoE and 6v6 Crucible. In D1 the Crucible was a hot mess and the community spent ages complaining about how useless PoE and a few other activities were. Take off your nostalgia lenses.

  • I'm not sure what any of what you wrote has to do with the topic. Obviously there are more then 2 branches of the playerbase, but what relevance does that have to me stating that the casual base depends on the sherpas and most of them leave to other games I think you may have replied to the wrong person from the start.

No, you're just as delusional as anyone else spouting the same stuff. I almost feel bad for some of you, but you're really doing it to yourselves. However you wanna define hardcore and casual, they don't exist. And if the game is half as easy as you elitists say it is, why should Bungie give you more of their time and effort if the content is easy in the first place? You're biting the hands that feed you AND biting your own hands. "Content isn't hard enough" *does it anyway to completion Tuesday morning "Us hardcore players who do all the hard shit (irony inserted here) should be the ones Bungie caters to, not the [nonexistant] casual players." So.. to recap. The content is TOO easy, but you want recognition for choosing to do said content? You're a joke!

Again not sure you know who you're talking too, I never once in my post mentioned if content is hard or not...not once....so.... Here's some facts. Currently there's nothing to do in end game, nothing necessarily wring with it's difficulty - but there certainly needs to be more relevant content. Try and keep your next response one that actually is intended for something I wrote. That said, if you were bungie and one playerbase is going to leave at the next big game and one will stay till D3 which would you cater? If it's the former you'd be a fool of a company.
