So, I have been playing some Crucible with the Origin Story Auto Rifle and I must say I love it! Cosmetically it is awesome! The stability, range, damage and even the sights are just perfect! I know this depends on personal opinion but I have also noticed Scathelocke and basically a copy of it called Lionheart are very effective as well. Let me know what you think of the current state of ARs, bear in mind this varies on personal preference.
Edit: Bungie... pls no nerf... ever.

Using the same one and I'm pretty happy with it. Good range, stability. Great for team fighting.
-
From someone who hates Autos and didn't use them in D1, they are pretty good and the best weapons currently. They need to buff the others.
-
2 Repliesthey are a little too good at beyond optimal range

Origin Story 👌👌

2 RepliesYup, I'm wrecking with my Valakadyn

It's just like destiny 1 all over again

Edited by Dracofear: 9/10/2017 2:38:45 AMYeah, they are imo. Some of them are meh but I got that one from the 2 strikes mission the legendary and it has a perk for faster reload and sabilization, so it's accurate and packs a punch. You just gotta find one with low recoil, some of them are weak and shoot fast but also have tons of recoil and those are just aweful esp in pvp, and at that point if you want something with high rof just get a smg.

Jiangshi AR1 rekts

4 RepliesThey were good at the start of Destiny 1 as well. Don't worry, bungie will make sure they don't stay good.
-
2 RepliesIt's because they're the most efficient weapon for this team shot simulator. Hard to win a gunfight when 4 fully auto weapons are mowing you down. Am I right or am I right?
-
That pariah tho

Was a primarily pulse rifle user in the first game, but have found myself using auto rifles more this time around. They feel much better than before.

9 RepliesEdited by JHarv: 9/9/2017 9:59:19 PMI found this scout that is absolutely incredible. It's a headshot machine, I believe it's in the MIDA archetype. I got it from a Devrim engram. It's called Call to Serve and it has the equivalent perk of Counterbalance and Triple Tap. HANG ONTO IT IF YOU FIND IT.

8 RepliesEdited by WENIS: 9/9/2017 8:04:02 PMSo far everything seems super balanced. They could just need to increase handcannon damage at close range and maybe play with the sub machine guns a bit more. But yes the autos are really really good.

2 Repliesactually, Origin Story started to let me down a bit (or more-likely I'm doing-it-wrong lol) - but, picked up some blue Cuboid ARU at higher-Light (shaddap-a-you, Bungie!) and it also has the whole HEXCaster feel the Cydonia did, and I guess that just fits who my Hunter is? just feels "correct" vs. the me-who-is-me.

2 RepliesAutos have always been good. They just got nerfed in D1 bc the 12 yr olds were getting smacked by god tier
-
Loving autos now, cheers!

5 RepliesThe Origin Story legendary auto has been the only gun that I've had any kind of success with.
