The 80's is my favorite decade. Although I didn't live in it, they sounded awesome.

Was a child in the 80s. Great cartoons. Actual Saturday morning cartoons. Mtv played music videos. There was defense in the NBA. Amazing movies

2 RepliesLet me guess, you read Ready Player One?

I mean, we're right in the middle of an 80s culture revival right now. For me, that's the best way to experience it; cherry picking all the good parts whilst having today's technology. Some pretty shitty things happened in the 80s. I'd prefer to leave that stuff out.
-
Hell no. The future is where new things happen. -blam!- that replay shit.
-
2 RepliesNah. Cold War? Higher crime rates? HIV/AIDS epidemic? Pass.
-
I'd go back to the 70's and work through the 80's after that. You cant do 80's without 70's.
-
1 ReplyNot as a kid this time! I'd like to experience the 70's too. Better music.
-
Most people here weren't even born in the 90's.
-
I didn't live in the 80s, but I would definitely want to have lived then.

The best part about the 80s was the music and we have better 80s music being made today.
-
If I could retain what I know now and be able to go back and at that age? Yep!
-
Can't go back to the 80's, For I was never there.
-
Hell yeah! That was arguably the best decade for music. Damn I love 80s music.
-
No, the 80s did not have d a n k m e m e s

1 ReplyHow about 80's films like Bueller or Ghostbusters?

Edited by Lord Dublin: 8/29/2017 2:25:23 AMNo I'd go back to the 1492 and murder Columbus before he slaughtered thousands of native peoples in the Caribbean isles a.K.a the West Indies cause Columbus was a dipshit who didn't know where he was and he thought the world was pear shaped despite it being proven it was round a near century before. He was like the people who claim the world is flat but way dumber.
-
1 ReplyI'd like to go back to 2008
-
2 RepliesWow, I'd thought lots of people would like to go back to a time like the 80's.

I grew up on the 80s, and the "good old days" were never quite as good as people try to make them out to be. The only thing that the 80s had on current times, is that entertainment corporations were MUCH more willing to take risks on an unusual idea, than they are today. Because the expectations for profit by investors were less unreasonable. So entertainment (though there was less of it) tended to be less cookie-cutter and "me too" than it is today. But gaming was downright CRUDE compared to what it is today.

I would just go and see all the metal and other music live. I would love to see Metallica when Dave was around and their early performances in the bay area. Plus witness the explosion of the NWOBHM.
