In the beta we were underleveled my friend. That's why the boss and ultras were tanky.

Bump it's going to get boring training up my clan mates everyone going to be like do it yourself I'm bored after 3rd time they done it cause it won't be worth pulling your friend though the single player mode when you've already done it so I see loads of people complaining about this very soon.

5 RepliesYou're also missing the fact we had weak weapons like low impact snipers grenade launchers felt kinda weak but fun didn't get a rocket launcher to drop. Just wait once we start getting really good gear, exotics, mods and more.

Ready for some Division like gameplay?

8 RepliesEdited by KitsuneSonow: 8/17/2017 3:42:41 PMTwo things: First off, if they actually did scale the enemies accordingly as they said , the weapon changes won't be an issue in the least. Second off, maybe you and others have forgotten this, but taking on enemies that are at or above your LL tend to be very bullet spongy. Recently replayed through D1 with all my characters and even the first boss, Riksis, takes a while to kill at that point. Don't get me started on the 20-30 minutes it took to get through the original Devil's Lair strike with other level 8's that had a LL of 30-40, and it took forever just to kill the walker tank with RL's and Snipers at those levels. Keeping that in mind, we were at 200 fighting 200 (inverted spire) and 210 (Homecoming) enemies, so of course it felt like a slog, but even then it only took 10-15 minutes to get through inverted spire so....

5 RepliesBut eh, bungie have already said that power ammo will drop commonly and always drops on majors...so?...

8 RepliesDestiny 2: Three times the grind to kill a Boss, and now with three times less fun! What are you waiting for!? Order today, and get your epic grind on! Because that's all you'll have time to do. Grind, grind, grind, grind some more, go get something to eat, write a letter to your mom, grind some more with your vastly underpowered Primary, run out of ammo, switch to your other underpowered Primary, plink at the Boss some more, go do your taxes, grind, and finally the Boss dies. And you only got your Super twice, and your grenade three times. How does that not sound like fun!? We've taken your magically-charged-Light-infused Guardian, and made him/her feel like we removed everything "magical", and replaced that fun with the weakest Primary weapons in any modern day FPS! And as a bonus: you get to carry TWO of those weapons that feel like you're shooting nothing more than harsh language at your enemies!!! How could you not love this!? We've taken you from feeling like a minor Deity in D1, and turned you into another faceless soldier in the dog-pile! How could you not love losing all of your God-like power and gaining faceless anonymity and boring weapons!? As a pre-order bonus: If you buy an energy drink, you can also be so hyper you get twitchy during all that slogging boredom! Destiny 2: We've removed fun, because who plays video games for fun anymore? Pay our bills!!!!!

15 RepliesExcept that the spire strike made it obvious that the bosses aren't as big of bullet sponges as that boss took less time being hit with primaries than constant sniper fire on a D1 boss.
-
*Boss takes longer than 30 seconds to kill* BULLET SPONGE I WANT MY GJALLARHORN NERF HIM Perhaps take into account we were under levelled and no body has a sleeper or gjally to down the boss in 3 seconds now.

Complaints about a game you haven't played yet are null and void, until after said game is released thank you 👍

4 RepliesEdited by BaconRiot: 8/18/2017 8:08:17 PMIf having heavy weapon ammo in D1 still made them boring, what do you want then?
-
1 ReplyThey've already made changes, do you not follow news?

4 RepliesI wouldnt know I wont be playing this shitshow.

4 RepliesEdited by The Outlaw Torn: 8/19/2017 3:32:40 AM"Let's replace their sniper with a pointless primary, effectively ruining good DPS, and the fun and flow of PvE, because Crucibabies will REEEEEEEE! if they get killed by anything that kills in less than 10 seconds." "Also, no fun is allowed." -Bungie

4 RepliesThat's why the story will be so long apparently in D2. When we shoot spit balls at enemies, it's going to take a while.
-
3 RepliesMe and my salty droid"FU-D2" won't know as we will not be buying the game. Thanks Bungie for giving my life back! Your game looks like trash.

4 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 8/17/2017 11:58:33 PMBut but, Primary Weapons are all you need. But don't pay attention to setting a world record on counting how many times you have to reload before a boss dies. That's called spending quality time in the game. To where you get the most out of using them weapons.

B-b-b-b-b-b-but we have 2 primaries burrrrr learn how 2 primary bruh bro breh!! It'z gonna bee so kewl bruhhh! Stahp uzing krutches like snipez breh bro bruh hue hue hue. ~ The majority of people I see gargling on the new weapon system. Not all but definitely the majority.

Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 8/18/2017 4:56:58 PMSince this whole "2 primary weapons" system is already set in stone, if Bungie were smart, they'd lower the enemy/boss health, and opt for dynamic Legend-of-Zelda-style AI encounters. It would be far more enjoyable to have enemies jumping off of walls, flying around, going underground, etc., that don't take forever to kill, with their own mechanics, than a bunch of slow-moving/stationary bullet sponges. If only they were capable of that level of programming...

2 RepliesEdited by DeusFever: 8/18/2017 2:13:15 PMWhile it is certainly too late for Bungie to change the two primary gameplay, it is not too late for Bungie to balance the weapons for PvE. In Edge magazine, Luke Smith decries the comparison of D1 to D2. It's a new game, he says. Yet, when I played the beta, the primaries felt much like the primaries in D1, and they did shit for damage against the yellow bars and the strike boss. If Bungie is really committed to this "new game" idea, they need to see it through. They need to make the two primaries worth a damn.
I think Bungie is in this mess because they refuse to balance PvE and PvP separately. There must have been some internal brainstorming session where someone suggesting removing power weapons to fix all Crucible woes. Everyone else was probably tired and didn't realize they were approving a two primary weapon system for PvE. Then they were too embarrassed to admit they made a mistake. Now we Guardians have to go against the galaxy's largest empire using two hand cannons and a grenade launcher that's out of ammo.
Edited by BRAZACK: 8/19/2017 1:10:08 AMThe dev team is retarded AF! You would think they would have this shit down by now from all that they learned with d1....nope they scrapped everything they learned from d1 for a new system. They are just thinking about making their work easier not about making a fun game. They want it to be easier to balance and easier to pump out content. It wont matter how much content we get if the game isnt fun though/ players dont enjoy playing said content (i guess they didnt think about that). D1 strikes can be so fun with the right modifiers, u can kill strike bosses in seconds but bungo dont want us to feel powerful and have fun. They want us to grind and fight bullet sponges all day. I did a digital preorder but im thinking of cancelling it after i played the beta but i dont feel like going through the hassel to get my money back. So i guess i will play it but if it is how think its going to be im moving on.

Yeah talking to you on the forums is "much better"

I agree bump why can't they make like dark souls where youcankick the add off the edge?
-
1 ReplyThey're a guaranteed heavy drop.....they should be tedious
-
5 RepliesI doubt we will see a disproportionate amount of spongy enemies for Destiny 2. All of the encounters in the game are built in consideration of players that only have access to one heavy-hitting weapon at a time.
