All the posts recently seem to lean one way or the other.
I like them both. Thats why Destiny 2 is going to be an awesome game for me.
Anyone feel the same way?

I came for the pve I had a wave of dread when the announced it leading up to D1's launch and I'm sad to say just about every fear I had came to pass. Pvp has been such a bad exp with all the patches and the salt and the collateral damage. Then there was and still is the emphasis bungie puts on pvp with the bungie bounties which along with NO pve events after the short lived queen's wrath which got tossed in the trash before its full run. Pvp got IB and trials plus it was heavily featured in every following event with only a pitty fk thrown at pve. They never put any mechanics into pve aside from raids and POE which was the level strikes should have had. The game was built up around the pve in the adds but the game is built around the pvp with pve on the side which leaves me feeling a little cheated.

I will personally not be touching PvP 😳
-
I agree, pve is fun but i think once all is said and done I'm pvp.
-
I think it's safe to say I excel at both. I enjoy both PvE and PvP. That goes for almost every game I play.
-
I liked pvp until it's current state, now I only like pve.
-
Played PVE A lot and raided mostly, and always did Iron Bannana. Tried Trials on quite a few occasions but never got past 7 wins. Still I would say yes, I enjoyed both.
-
I tend to bore of pvp after a few games.
-
I like whatever mode my friends are playing.
-
I like pve as well as pvp just not in destiny. I dont like e whole "this is the top archtype this month" meta thing, i prefer things more like battlefield where weapons are for the most part balanced

Edited by Mar: 8/12/2017 3:53:19 AMI have nothing against the PvP, mainly play PvE and do enjoy it more but i don't find that the PvP ITSELF is unenjoyable. I just have a problem with the people who play it, if that makes any sense. The game modes, gameplay, and structure of the PvP are fun, but every time i play it everyone else in the game just sucks the fun out of it by being insane min/maxers (to the point of making it so that no one else can play without being forced to play exclusively to counter them), super toxic douchebags, and crazy people who don't understand that R1 / RT shoots the gun and that bullets hurt. Just wish bungie would focus slightly less on PvP, they tend to bend over backwards to go on about PvP while barely mentioning PvE in passing. Hopefully with destiny 2 they change that a little. But both are fine on their own, its when other people get in the mix that it starts getting the fun killed. So i guess yeah, i like both. Even if it sometimes (or almost always) gets ruined by the more toxic of the player base.

Should have capitalised AND in your title.

Edited by WulfPak666: 8/11/2017 11:14:41 PMI used to like both PvP and PvE. Had the most fun during the HoW meta where almost everything (except autos) were pretty good. Enjoyed it a good bit too before the Age of Triumph update that nerfed Handcannon range after it was finally fixed in the previous patch.. da hell?? Once the whole "sidearm sticky" meta set in I was already out the door and a few miles down the street. Pve has always been my stomping grounds in Destiny. I got it for the PvE and I'm getting D2 for the PvE. Only reason I actually played PvP in D1 was because it was mandatory for some quests and mission rewards. (Which is BS) D2 Beta PvP didn't really tickle my fancy and the PvE was kind of lacking as well. It feels much of the same with the same ol' stuff. But what can you expect when you only get a strike that you've seen every YouTuber and their mom beat. Of course it's gonna get boring after the first 2 runs. Then again Halo 2 was the same old thing with the same old stuff and I loved the hell out of that. Either way, I am reserving all final thoughts for Destiny 2 as a whole after I get it and sink a good portion of time into it.

Edited by makki26: 8/11/2017 11:32:00 PMI really enjoy both. It's nice to break away from the ordinary to do a different game mode and why not with the same game am I right? They both have their issues as well. The balance between the two to satisfy the sweaty pvp and grinding pve players results in a weak incomplete game IMO. It's the same with democrats and republican parties. Always bitching and arguing and in return getting a subpar cheap experience that you can't help but feel ripped off.

Nope... just like pve
-
I can do strikes and control all day
-
I enjoyed both in D1. I hope to enjoy both in D2.
-
Of course!
-
Most of us, yeah. Don't let the loud minority fool you.
-
Depends on the game...

Like both

I don't like PvP because I suck at it. Tried D2 crucible and I was even worse lol
-
-
I'm definitely liking both in D2.
-
My preference is solo PVE, but I still jumped into crucible fairly often in D1 and still plan to in D2. Plus loot!
