Think again. What you get in the beta is what your gonna get on release day. Don't hate me, I'm just giving that warning a lot of us didn't get before destiny 1 came out.
Ok let me clarify abit for these special needs people on here. This is a "W A R N I N G" to basically the noobs who didn't experience the disappointment after destiny was released.
This is not for the geniuses who believe everything they read. ✌

Theyve literally already made changes and the beta build is months old But nice try
-
Whatever they already said that this is an older build so no this is not what you will receive on release date.
-
7 RepliesWrong. The build we're playing is ALREADY old. Some of the changes we're asking for have already been made. Did nobody actually read the news update? Jesus...
-
As mentioned in many comments already, its an old build. So this isn't even the current game anymore. Yes the core mechanics can't be changed this late in the development so if you don't like those then you may as well leave, but I feel its a great improvement over Destiny 1. Destiny 1 was also completely messed up by their company's internal affairs and restructuring months before launch, keep that in mind too.
-
lol This is the most ridiculous crap I have read all day.
-
I'm a bit skeptical about the two primaries thing. Why not just have a primary, a secondary, a power weapon. and have different upgrades that can drop for your guns to enhance how they perform and look. I think if you could build your own weapons that would add something fresh to Destiny 2. Just my 2 cents.
-
This is, I expect, partly true and partly not. I think that glitches will be fixed, and a few obviously OP or too-weak weapons or abilities might be tweaked. But I also think that the overall game experience is what it is.
-
15 Repliesi agree. they said D1 would be far greater than the beta for it and... lol it wasn't

40 RepliesOk so thank you for establishing you have an extra chromosome i will try to take it easy on you. 1. Bungie already said they will be fixing our complaints and have for the most part ALREADY fixed them as the beta is MONTHS OLD. 2. As a Day 1 Year 1 player who played the beta you are dead wrong. The beta showed us all of Earth and nothing of the other planets except for 1 mission the moon. Not to mention how bungie fixed probably every single complaint except for things like balancing. And obviously a story because you cant fix that. Please leave the forum because we dont need people spreading bull shit like you are doing right now. Im not a bungie fanboy and dont like a lot of things Bungie has done and is doing but I wont post idiotic threads on the forums that only support the whining complaining. Its gotten to the point where every post is complaining about 1 thing or another. And thats fine when they are valid. But jesus at least try to , next time, form something that makes any sense and isnt so blatantly stupid...
-
10 RepliesSomeone didn't read the weekly update....
-
17 RepliesIf you simply read the last post from Bungie you'll see that the beta we are playing is old and most things have already been fixed on it, so what you just posted is actually false
-
I think a beta should be some of the best. Bungie must be stupid to release a beta only to stop selling. So far they managed to hurt themselves with this beta which it's nothing but junk. I was ready to pre-order before I play the beta. Now I will wait few month till they will get a better review. In cruciable I had not time to use the super because I got supercharged few seconds before the game ends. At least I don't need to worry about the other players they will use it :) :) :)

I'm liking some of the changes but it truly feels like a beta. It's really short and there isn't much to do besides the opening act and then play in pvp on the same 2 maps. For me this sucks because I'm not a pvp kind of player and this seems to be geared more toward that type of player. I do have 1 major complaint that our abilities recharge very slowly. Now this could just be because it's the very beginning of the game and we could get perks later that improve them considerably but if that's the norm bungie needs to fix that. So far overall I would get it despite the beta being really short and the problem with slow ability recharge. However since I'm sure bungie will do what they did with destiny I'm going to wait to purchase. Don't feel like spending lots extra on expansions so I'm going to hold off till at least Y2 when they bundle more and reduce the price.

2 RepliesWhat was broken in Destiny 1? People just didn't realize just how much of the release version of the game we had been allowed to see and play. Destiny 2s beta is just badly tuned, so we don't feel as powerful as mid-game players should feel. People feel it, and don't like it. But these tuning problems can be fixed for launch. The only thing that can't be fixed that some people are complaining about is the new weapon system. Everything that's OHK in pvp is now a power weapon. That's not going to change. Bungie just needs to stop treating it like heavy ammo in pve. It needs to drop at midway between the rate heavy ammo and special ammo dropped. Because right now it's dropping less often than heavy does in D1. Which is so far off it's literally not funny.
-
The thing is, this was their idea meaning they do want things like they are now, so I honestly can't see the full version changing much other than more power ammo. They want to remove our use of powers and make this another HALO, PVP will be pretty much HALO so PVE will just follow, since the first rule of balance for Bungie is always make PVP a priority.

11 RepliesIf this build is 6 months old then what the hell is the point in doing a beta test on a 6 month old product that will only give feedback for a old version of something. That's a complete waste of time and gives useless information for what to nerf /buff. It all seems like poor excuses
-
20 RepliesDestiny year 1 was awesome. It was everything after that which sucked Destiny 2 feels like garbage
-
10 RepliesBeta build is a very, VERY old build. It's months old. Their current build that they are working on is completely different than what we have right now. The Beta is not what we're getting in September.
-
The mistake they made in year 1 was letting us play half the game before launch. They want to avoid that this time. And honestly the only thing that needs a buff is the super charge. Everything else is fine.
-
Well, they already said some stuff were fixed and that we are playing an older build. So... I have some hope, although I can't say the game is bad. Cheers, mate!
-
You're definitely right, sadly... I hope they change stuff like they did the first game. .... and make it more like the first game..
-
Bring it! I'm happy to play D2 either way!
-
12 RepliesHasnt it already been noted that this is an older build of the game?

1 ReplyEdited by RPColten: 7/22/2017 6:51:07 PMDid Destiny launch in the same state as it was in the beta?
I legitimately forgot/don't know. I only played the beta for like 5 minutes, and on my brothers account.
What you get in the beta is what your gonna get on release day.
Not sure how you could possibly know this. Do you work for Bungie? Or do you have some inside knowledge that the rest of us are unaware of?
