Luke Smith presents a new restriction

Lol a video on the vision of destiny and another slide in from Luke. Loadouts will now be locked in activities without the option to switch. Add this to all weapons having static loadouts, no grimoire, 4 man PvP. This should be called destiny 0.5. Instead of adding to the game they just ripping it apart. All player freedom one update after the next

      To be fair, he did say loadouts will be locked for SOME activities. He also mentioned it along with stating that they wanted to make the game more challenging and that they want you to look at your loadout for what you are about to do to get the right tools in line. Honestly, switching weapons during activities made parts of D1 that were supposed to be hard pretty easy. There were just times you could run through parts using a certain weapon, then get to the boss and switch to Gally or Sleeper and run through it real easy. We will see how it effects the game (maybe wait until you see it in action to say it is a step back for sure), but I think it's so you can't just completely optimize your loadout in every single situation. There are 3 weapon slots, but there may as well be 30 in D1 as you can switch weapons pretty quickly.

      • If its only some activities, then maybe something like this will help d2 nightfalls be a hard as d1y1 nightfalls, lol where people will go to orbit to change their weapons rather than because they can't be revived

        Where's that source? Post links to source before providing feedback [b]based[/b] on information pulled from third-party websites. That is just a basic fundamental rule of using an online forum. The main poster obviously gathered their information from a website that he/she was actively on, yet this same person refused to simply copy/paste the url into his post, a process that takes at most 5 seconds. Refusing to provide a link to a source while spouting information/feedback based on that source is a fatal flaw in the world of information sharing.

            • [i]Some[/i] activities will have locked loadouts, presenting for of a challenge. You have to carefully choose what weapons you bring to the activity. I think it's a really interest change.

            • Perhaps this replaces the revive restrictions in the hard mode raid. Makes you think more critically about how you'll handle the activity rather than artificially inflating difficulty by forcing players to be perfect.

            • First off he said "some" activities, not all. Second, if you think about it bringing everything and the kitchen sink isn't realistic, made missions so that there were no real roles to play, just moar dps, and made the environment just meaningless scenery.

            • Did check out the video. Strikes and story might not be that big of a deal. Raids and Nightfall will be messy if they did this. But from what I gathered it will be likely PVE focused.

                • It's just another reason to leave a match early. We haven't see a lot of maps yet, but sometime switch weapons depending on the map or when I finished a bounty. I know some people will switch weapons when they know that heavy is about to drop.
