That video user makes their opinions known. I personally don't agree with them. It's a video game and one where, if you don't want to spend hours and hours doing something? Then don't. The context of what Luke Smith was actually saying is not that and when you get old enough to realize the specific context of those statements is something positive, not negative, and should only be taken as positive because he is not trashing people or cosplayers or otherwise? Then you can call yourself mature. Again, I've seen a lot of hate towards him which begs to question who is in their low 30's and well beneath that threshold. You do not build ANY experience on the rants of people. You build the positive experience by simply putting feedback down where discussion is not needed and the constructive criticism is, "I agree because of these three reasons" and then explain that. Talking about cosplayers as if Mara Sov was reduced to that? I took one hearing of that and the first thought was, "What is so bad about cosplaying? You see it all the time at conventions, ect. if you would ever go to one." Luke is speaking about the direction of story telling with this. He's basically saying the Exo stranger questions on the forums, and in the game, as well as the mysterious element people like? It's wrapped up nicely for D1. No, that doesn't mean anything for later in other games. No, that doesn't mean their won't be other instances where it will be utilized. If you dislike it that much, wait for the reviews, watch a few videos, and make a decision. This is not difficult by any stretch of the imagination.

The Stranger butthurt is hysterically strong around here, lol. Seriously, when was the last time anyone wiped a Guardian and brought a new one up from ground zero? It's still fun, sure - but a hopelessly fragmented experience with a metric shytt-ton of questionable story moments that only maintain gravitas for players under the age of twelve. I only have two disappointments with the current understanding of D2. The first is 4x4 PvP, which threatens to get old fast if you're not a sweattrooper. The second is that I find the Cabal uninteresting and don't really care about their culture or motives. Beyond that, I'm down for great gameplay and a compelling experience. D2 will easily earn my money and if I get 70 hours of enjoyment out of it, it will double the fun I got with Mass Effect Andromeda. Will D2 take D1 off the throne as the game I've spent more time on than anything in 40 years of gaming? Who knows - it will get a shot at the title.

No one cares about the stranger. The stranger was never meant to be significant. It was a device intended to get you yo Venus. Nothing more, nothing less.

Bungie devs only care pvp streamers that cheat in trials. Bungie's mafia you know, you can see how much those streamers suck at pc games. They are only pros on destiny for some reason.. I can't wait to see them getting destroyed by aimbots on pc. #1337

reason's like this is why i am waiting 2 to 3 month's before making my mind up if i should get d2 or not wait for more then 1 review look at several source's see actual on disc game play so you can see what day 1 on disc content looks like and what there is to play remember d1 day 1 lack of content don't get fooled again by bungie be wise and patient before handing money over the counter

I think it's pretty obvious they don't want a character ingame when they rarely keep the character around or flat out kill them off. That's what they did with the Exo Stranger and Mara Sov. I thought it was obvious they were gone for good. Ehhh, I'm not really upset by this. Honestly, I welcome this fresh start. The only characters in Destiny that I've legitimately liked weren't ingame anyway.

I find it stupid how backwards this community is. You guys complained about the story in Year 1, in Destiny 2, they shift focus to a new part and make that story a really good story... Yet people are upset that they didn't pay homage to the first game? Have you guys ever played Dark Souls? If you are upset at the Stranger being left vague, that's basically 90% of what Dark Soul's story is, not to mention Dark Souls 2 hit zero of the story archs from the first game.
