Experiencing the game with extreme lag or lack thereof always matters, regardless of K/D...the later is much less frustrating and bewildering. Nobody enjoys hassling through technical difficulties or impediments as a means of entertainment. If the concern is K/D, he can always just be the player host that jams everyone else by downloading a bunch of porn while playing, and not care about fluidity or visual accuracy when running around with his character in a virtual sandbox.
