Let's get this out of the way. I don't support some of the desisions made for D2
P2P
But I'm giving Bungie the benefit of the doubt. The game looks good. The gunplay still looks smooth af even at 30fps. PvP is primary based supported by abilities and power weapons, so it won't be a fest of OHK weapons and abilities.
I'm crossing my fingers that there's a good story. I hope Ghual is just as badass as Oryx was in Regicide. I hope most exotics come from adventure quests to make it feel like a proper RPG.
Most of all I just hope people won't as toxic then. Give the game a chance. If you don't like it remember GameStop a return policy. If the game turns out to be trash in the beta than we can all whine about it together.
Just my little rant.

3 RepliesRemember, games like World of Warcraft didn't start amazing. They started out as fun and they worked their way to become amazing. Give it time. Stop expecting everything to be shipped in the disc. A game like Destiny was never meant to be ready and and done altogether. It NEEDS updates. It Needs expansion.

1 ReplyI disliked this. I liked Destiny. I disliked RNG rewards. I hoped for blaming hard task to do to obtain exotics, with only cryptic messages to discover "the what". Without guides of every stoopid thing... How to do "this" faster... How to avoid "that"... How to get the exotic XXXXX in three steps... sick really sick And before anyone start with the play the way like and let others do their thing, I'm going to tell you, the game is not enjoyable if the majority have something and you don't. In other hand, if someone have something, but I have this other thing because we both did "something" to discover an armor, a weapon, etc. Well I'm just dreaming.

Gary * okay ... GARY ! If someone -blam!-ing calls him ghoul again cayde will -blam!-ing kill all of you himself !
-
There will be no other game like it available. Preorder confirmed.
-
2 RepliesI'm just saying we all thought the same thing when we say Destiny for the first time. Then we got the game....
-
2 RepliesAside from technical issues that will probably dog Destiny 2 on release, I think it'll shape up fine. It's looking like the game we promised for Destiny 1, minus the "you see that mountain..." moment (😆 🗻 😆), and if Bungie really care (🤔), then it has the potential to be even better. Or maybe closer to the original vision. Who knows? I won't be getting it on release (looking around December time), but I will be keeping an eye on it once it drops to see if I'm going to jump in earlier. ☮️

1 ReplyPve will be good. Pvp will be garbage. It will be half bad.
-
They've gotten the benefit of the doubt for 3 years now. Guess what, we played a beta for three years. Paid 120+ dollars for it on top of that. They continued to let the majority of players down repeatedly. They do not deserve the benefit of the doubt and need to be held accountable for the repeated mistakes made and that will continue to be made.

1 ReplyI have a feeling that Destiny 2 will be bad on launch day. I have not played the game so I have no reason for thinking this other than this was how I felt when watching the reveal. I was going to pre-order the base game and all DLC however I think I might wait until the game has been out 6 months. There will be plenty of feedback and they will be selling the DLC bundle with the base game included for a reduced price.

3 RepliesThe following is my own opinion and not fact or to be taken any heavier than with a grain of salt. 30fps is fine by me. I've played 60fps games and I'm not impressed on consoles and don't find it to increase my enjoyment on a game at all. Maybe Scorpio will change that but who knows. P2P? I'm confused why this is being brought up. Are we upset because D2 will cost us money or that there will be DLCs that cost us money? Did Bungie announce the return of Everest and Silver? Did micro transactions ruin D1 for you? If it did, go play a WarFrame where you can buy OP characters/armor/weapons. Map pass/Season pass whatever you wanna call it. Honestly I'm tired of DLC being announced before the full game is even out yet. But unfortunately that's how the game industry is now. The last bigger title I remember that didn't do this was ES5 Skyrim. That was 2011... We need to get over it. Dedicated servers? That makes me mad they dropped to 4v4 to fix the lag. I'm glad they are doing something but still I'm upset we don't have the servers yet. All I want for Bungie is address why we don't have them. I don't care if it's the lamest or most BS reason, just address it Bungie. Story. All I want is for the story length and PVE content to be just as long, if not longer, than Taken King. I want random secrets released through the first few months giving me random new stuff till the expansions. Again this is all my opinion, disagree with me below, I'm all for it. Salty and toxic insults will result with me releasing triangle faced monkeys in your bedroom as you sleep =D

Like if hunters ruined destiny by their constant cries for nerf
-
It'll be an improvement from D1, if anything. That's all I'll say.
-
I think it will be twice as AWESOME as D1 IS!
-
I agree. I'm optimistic about it, and honestly can't wait.
-
I think it will definitely be better than Destiny's launch. I'm hyped for exploration though.

16 RepliesPvP looks 💩 with only 4v4 whatever they say it, was only done because their crappy peer to peer can't handle anymore. PvE looks much better they've added things that we wanted in the original. What we really need is Dedicated servers With Dynamic resolution scanning, so FPS can be auto handled in game this will then allow for big game modes like Big team battle, where they could add new vehicles like tanks etc. Over watch and Halo have this and they play extremely well. Bungie have once again used OLD code that won't handle Dynamic resolution scanning, and not added dedicated servers proving once again they DON'T really care about their gamers only about their bottom line, Anybody who Pre ordered this new DLC is just helping them to come to this tight arsed decision, and has purchased a one way ticket to disappointmentsville, I for one will wait until it's released then decide if it's worth a buy. Peace guardians may the light remain strong in you.

3 RepliesI'm just going to put this out there that if you're on the fence about getting it, rent it from Redbox. They tend to have most games available on or soon after release. If you rent it and don't like it then you wasted $3 as opposed to $60. Most people don't seem to consider this option and I'm not sure why.
-
I put so many hours into Destiny 1 for a reason, if Destiny 2 is the same shit, I honestly don't care
-
if PvE is as garbage as it is on this train wreck then it will be atrocious if not more on this said train wreck, i just hope bungie makes the right decision and puts PvE first and foremost. if it does bring amazing PvE quality, then i can't wait to finally participate in a raid and defeat Gary since they're adding some sort of raid matchmaking from what i've heard.
-
If they bolster the pve, kept the gunplay, fleshed out the story even more, and expanded explicable areas, they could keep everything else the same and I'd enjoy it. But I'm still waiting a good month or so to see reviews.
-
I'm not worried about it being half bad I'm more worried about it being more than half good!
-
I'm in that boat. I criticize Bungie on some decisions, but for the most part it's been one of the better games I have played in the last few years. I trust them enough that I will pre-order it.
-
If it's pve focused and that why they made pvp the way it is?.....mmmm...maybe. Still not buying for months (if that). Still feels like bungie is trying too figure out what type of game they want too make and have no time too explain. So I'm not taking any chances.
-
The only thing the community asked for they didn't deliver
-
It won't be everything I want it to be, but it'll be well worth the price of admission. I'll probably play the hell out of it, but maybe not as much as the original.
-
Bumped, I love the weapon changes and 4v4 looks creative and fun.
