As long as the game is good I don't care that it's only 30fps. I've gotten used to it after 3 years it doesn't bother me.
Edit: Just to clarify: I'm not saying I want 30fps. I'd take 60 over 30 any day of the week. However, I'm not going to complain just because Destiny 2 is capped at 30fps. To me, gameplay/content>FPS/Graphics.

I could care less

FPS and graphics have literally never bothered me. If I managed to have fun with the Xbox 360 port of Shadow of Mordor, where there are no facial animations and everything is blurry, I can deal with this.
-
13 RepliesI don't, because I'm not dumb enough to buy it lmao.
-
That's only for the pro, not regular ps

25 RepliesPsyonix, indie-studio behind a very popular multiplayer title: 60fps, dedicated servers on all platforms on launch Activision, multi-billion dollar company: 30fps, P2P Oranges and apples and all that, but I do find it amusing. 30fps and P2P in a multiplayer game for $70 is absolutely out of the question.
-
It makes no difference. No dedicated servers means that if we had 60 fps on a p2p system the poorest connection would make the game even more laggy than it is now!
-
I'll be on a laptop lucky to hit 60 fps. I don't care either way.
-
I don't care. But I'm just a filthy casual.
-
I could care less that destiny 2 will be 30fps. I'll still enjoy the game just as much
-
3 RepliesI'm fine with 30 fps. That may change when I snag a Scorpio.
-
3 RepliesShould have given us the choice of 4k or 60fps not everybody has a 4k tv so its waisted all tvs can run 60fps
-
2 RepliesI will buy the game but of course I do care. At least the option should have been there like others games do. This is just lazy/easy half done development. 4K tvs are still way far from becoming a standard, and 60 frames on the other hand, are the new minimum.
-
As long as the game can keep a stable 30 fps I'm fine all I care about for the most part is pve so
-
Consoles straight can't run it at 60 fps so even if you do care, Bungie can't do anything about it other than remove content from the game and make it uglier.

25 RepliesI care, I am not buying the game because of it and it's also the reason I no longer play Destiny 1. Going from games on my PS4 Pro such as Battlefield & Overwatch which play smooth as hell as they have a 60fps cap on them, then returning to D1, feels just horrible and choppy, it even hurts my eyes, the game feels so slow like your characters moving through glue ! It's just not an enjoyable experience playing FPS games at 30fps for me, especially in PVP. They say D2 can't run at 60fps, well that's only because they have chosen to mandate 4k resolution... who in their right mind would prefer 4k graphics @ 30fps over 1080p graphics @ 60fps? Atleast give us the option to choose in the settings like other games do, they ask if you favor resolution, or frames. Smoother gameplay over graphics any day. Would anyone be complaining if the graphics on D2 were only slightly better than D1 but the game ran at or close to 60fps? Also the fact that a low % of people actually have 4k TV's so why the hell isn't there an option for 60fps @ 1080p? If you have PS4 Pro then you can choose 4k @ 30fps if you wish. It truly is the most stupid decision ever. If they came out and decided that PVP will run at 60fps but anything outside of PVP is 30fps then I would be tempted to buy the game again as I would spend most of my time on PVP anyway, but unless ATLEAST PVP runs at 60fps, I won't be getting it - can't handle the choppyness, the way the screen can't keep up with itself on fast turns, it's just like playing a PS3 game.
-
I buy a game, and play it. If I enjoy it, I enjoy it. If not, who cares? You just play the game, why must you focus on the mechanics of the screen and fps? Pc players I can see being obsessed with this, but why does it matter if you're on console?
-
3 RepliesIsn't that a hard cold slap in the face to Sony when Bungie stated D2 wouldn't run 60fps on PS Pro?
-
6 RepliesWait, does that mean it might be 60 fps on PC? If so, "nice"
-
Shit i still get out the old nintendo and mega deive and love those
-
This is more a reply to everyone saying they shouldn't do 4K and should pursue 1080p 60fps. They've said they don't do this not because the PS4 Pro can't handle it, or the Scorpio won't be able to handle it, but because the older consoles would be outclassed and not be competitive if pitted against the newer consoles. 60fps will always beat 30fps, and it would destroy a player base if you essentially forced them to upgrade in order to compete.
-
Having started Destiny on the PS3 since beta and moving to the PS4 for ROI I've got to say, the game looks great to me as it is. Would 60PFS be better? sure - but 30 is not a deal breaker for me.
-
4 RepliesI'm more bothered that Luke Smith said the Ps4 pro couldn't run it at 60fps which is a load of toss 😂 They should have just said they don't want folks at 30fps to be playing competitively against folks at 60fps as the 60fps players would have a small advantage
-
9 RepliesAnyone here who wants 60 frames while playing destiny2 GO TO PC there problem solved 😊
-
Couldn't care less.
-
Fps has to do with gameplay. Instead of pushing this 4k bs bungie should have built an engine where the game can run on ps4 pro and scorpio at 60 fps and then worry about 4k later. Most people don't have 4k. Frames is way more important than resolution. Most shooters this generation have been 60. Bungie is the only hold out. They never have made anything above 30. They should have asked Activision for more help.

Edited by doc_rocker: 5/22/2017 3:23:21 PMAbsolutely not... seeing as everything I've seen has been captured @ less than 4K and @ 30fps by all the guys at the release event... and it looked fantastic (I.e it was all down scaled by their elgato capture devices!) As long as it looks like that for me when it downloads to my regular old PS4 then I'll be a happy camper!!
