Counteraction - Adult gaming Clan Counteraction- a force or influence that makes an opposing force ineffective or less effective DISCLAIMER: This is almost my exact recruitment post from before Destiny launched. I thought it was a pretty impressive piece of literature for me to write, so I'm just going to use it all over again. All the core values and crap are intact. We are starting to recruit again for Destiny 2! If you read this and are interested contact Altered Ruin or Urbicus One on Xbox live. Let me start with this. This is a Xbox 1 clan. I'm not interested in joining another clan. I'm not here to be a dictator, or your messiah. I'm not here to hold your hand on the path to greatness or babysit your children. I AM here, to walk beside you in battle. I AM here to share in stories and epic moments (including epic fails), laughter, tears, frustrations. I'm here, to form a group for destiny (2). I want a group of individuals, that not only game together, but share in its experience. I want people that, as a group, we enjoy playing together and look forward to our next great accomplishment. I only want to lead in that, I will gather us together so that we can experience this game together. Obviously this will entail more than just a post and recruiting members. But as i said before I don't want to dictate what we are going to do, but provide a direction for our accomplishments. Direction and or goals: - To provide a clan of like minded players, based on interest in destiny - To form a group with commitment to teamwork, accomplishment and integrity. - To clear the story, strikes, raids and community events as a tight-knit team, and provide the players for us to do so without the randoms you will likely acquire without a clan. That being stated. My primary interest in Destiny is not pvp. I enjoy pvp, and play shooters regularly, but as a nostalgic player of WoW, the story, strikes and raids are my primary focus. i enjoy the challenge of taking a team into a (STRIKE, RAID, area, w/e) with the purpose of defeating the challenge placed before us and emerging victorious, if the first or the second but the commitment to stick to it and get it done. A small disclosure, I understand that with the search for mature players, we will run into the issue of real life. That being said, nothing will be held against you if you are not online all the time or cannot make it to a raid night, but also understand we can't wait forever to do activities and will pug if we have too. But, hopefully this group (thought i wish to keep it under 15 members), will provide everyone with people to play with whenever they may find themselves in the world of Destiny, and people with which to plan or randomly go do activities, including smiting the darkness. What am I looking for in a member? This is where it gets tricky. Most of the people I used to play with have now grown up, gotten married and either don't have time or their wives don't want them to play. So obviously I need to find some more players. I'm looking for 3 things specifically. Maturity, Teamwork and Communication. I don't require people I play with to be MLG status or have a 2.0 k/d. I want people I can have fun playing with, we joke and cut up but clear the content. Now for those that might have lost interest when i stated pvp wasn't in my list of goals. Don't be disheartened and is you like the rest of what i have stated at least play with us a bit to see if we snaggle your interest. I will still play pvp on occasion, when we dont have enough online to do another activity, to gain crucible marks, etc, but it wont be what i do all the time, nor do expect everyone else to do so. I'm not saying you cant, just know that not my all time go to. I'm sure that somewhere along the length of this monster of a post I have left out details or things i meant to mention. But please, if you find we don't get along don't come back to this post and bash us, not all people mesh together, and that should be understood. So this is pretty much my original post from launch. I changed a few things, but most of it is the same. We all have probably lost guardians along the way upset with the way destiny promised this and that and didn't deliver, Though i myself still love this damn game. We are wanting to replenish our ranks with active players because using lfg is a pain and its so much more fun to play with a regular group. If you want to find a dedicated group to play with, we might be it. We are few right now, and looking to grow. Some old members are already gearing up to come back for the launch so we should have a good group of people to play with.
