Shoutout to all the guardians that slay with statistically poor weapons or relatively unused weapons.
In a world dominated by palindromes and eyaslunas, ice breakers and no lands, and anything that prides itself on being one of the easiest weapons to use, this is to the guardians that use weapons that are just about as laughable to guardians as pepper spray is to a wind blowing your direction and still getting on top.
With the most recent nerfs to general hand cannon range, the last word drops off before it gets out of melee range yet it can still be used sufficiently. The khvostov was thought to be a joke weapon with a bunch of perks, but it can be used just like the dreaded Doctrine of Passing, and even then, to use it at 450 rpm and slay is a massive accomplishment. To the chaperones, to something as silly as hereafter or patience and time, or as formerly intimidating as thorn. To the necrochasms, to the mythoclasts, to the fusions that shouldn't work, to the parthian shots, to the badger CCLs, to all of those weapons and many more that seem to fall flat on their faces, these guardians take them and use them into something beyond where they should be.
It's not a matter of the weapon, it's a matter of the wielder. These guardians are the legends that can turn heads because they use a weapon that should never show its head in the crucible. Godspeed, you
Edit: Holy crap, this thing has been around for almost 2 days and I've gotten so much out of it. Even Lost Sols (who I was told was a popular forum-goer) commented on this. I love hearing not only the comments on which guns you use even when I haven't heard of them, but the discussion of what's considered good or bad in the crucible. This is awesome! Thank you all!

Edited by DEAN No1: 5/17/2017 1:45:23 PMCryptic dragon on my warlock . I'm finding it the most useful scout I have ATM. Gets used in PvP and pve all the time. 19 bullets a clip . Can be upped with the perk same impact as distance star. Almost max impact for scouts.

I use The Continental alot along with Winter's End. I also use the Dead Orbit AR. I like to think I do OK with those weapons.

2 RepliesI don't see why The Last Word is considered underused. I put it on during an Iron Banner match the other day, and had a mighty k/d (4.4) compared to everyone else in the same game. I've also had swell experiences recently in using everything from Vex Mythoclast, Hard Light, Ether Nova, Darkblade's Spite, to Atheon's Epilogue. I don't always use the same weapons repeatedly, and sometimes I'll even dust off some weapons I generally dislike (such as Jade Rabbit).

Had a few good games after dusting off my titan. Ran defender (finally leveled it to blessings) and switched between hard light and first curse. I got bagged quite a bit.

1 ReplyI've been using the chaperone. I did the quest ages ago, upgraded it and put it in my vault. I used it in iron banner, and it can be a potential slaying machine.

Never use sticky nades btw I found them cheap way of trading and its my opinion I use almost every gun type exception of swords.

Zarinaea D AR- CC,rifled barrel, counterbalance It really is amazing, if I could get HCR instead of CC; would be even more rediculous. Telesto- hands down the most fun to play with, especially after u can use effectively ATM- with telesto I run a chaotic neutral lmg W/o telesto I run my god wormy/ solar thunderlord. Bout as off as u can get, lol. AR/telesto has been my loadout since weaponsmith gave me AR in 4th package

4 RepliesMy group and I call the Palindrome the "Down Syndrome." Because the gun will allow you to three shot people regardless of whether you have too many or too few chromosomes. Mean-spirited, I know.

I tried using the vendor role New monarchy auto rifle. It's a bullet hose with high caliber rounds, once I shot a couple rounds into a person they NEVER landed a shot on me!!

Weapons don't pride themselves on anything....Alot of these weapons you listed aren't hard to use. They just arent meta.
