BEST. IRON. BANNER. EVER XD
I gotta say, as chaotic and ridiculous as Mayhem Clash has been this week, this is some of the most fun hands down I've had in the crucible in a long time.
Do I think we should have it all the time? NO. Definite no. BUT, it has been a kick. It's something you get to play with some friends and goof off and not really have to sweat performance. It's MAYHEM. The supers are everywhere, the lag is incredible, there's special and heavy ammo strewn all over, the ability spam is just so God Damn hilarious it's impossible not to get a laugh out of it. You win some, you lose some, and all the while getting a -blam!- ton of loot!
Ahhh I love it.
And for those who find themselves frustrated, don't take it so seriously. Throw something obnoxious on and get some hilarious kills. I was throwing flashbang after flashbang on floating gardens and just rolling on the floor laughing at the number of people who fell off the map as a result. It's fantastic. Enjoy yourselves guardians, see you in the crucible!
EDIT: Post your favorite ridiculous loadouts below! Personally, I recommend Defender with suppressor nades and Sleeper Simulant.

I wasn't planning on playing IB this time around. Personally I enjoy gun play over supers to get kills. I did play for a few hours and surprisingly I had fun. Used mostly my defender Titan, which I never used before in IB and had a good time. Even after I switched to sunbreaker it was still pretty enjoyable. I didn't play IB as much as previous times but it wasn't due to the gametype. Overall it was a good experience.

100% agree. I have been having sooo much fun, constantly smiling the entire match. 5/5/2 Voidwalker is just a good time looking for a place to happen, I've found my Lord High Fixer, Ice Breaker and Zombie Apocalypse to be lots of fun in the madness... Pure fun is Bolt Caster holy ish!

I think maybe 5 matches i DIDNT get a "best around" medal. Then i took to my titan, ran defender, no back up plans and either uni sidearm, or palindrome+matador. Top of the leaderboard in almost every game doing that too... lol its amazing how high profile of a target a bubble is... and how easy it is to either shotty melee or supress supers when they try to get ya. I used my PvE loadout of course, as I have nothing else :P. Treads with Explosive rounds & crowd control. Never picked up special or heavy lol. Started right off with a 5 kill streak. Got 2.72 k/d. I guess I did all right. Never noticed any lag. And I had a lot of fun :) Edit: I ran Defender with Blessing, spike nades, Gift of the Void, Illuminated. With Ruin Wings, not realizing they'd be useless hahaa!

I've shook a few golden gun user off through some fancy footwork, and it was quite satisfying. Stop whining and play to win. Also, don't ever let anyone tell you playing to win is not fun. It very much is, lol.

5 RepliesHere's some Bs I was wrecking with earlier... Using my voidlock Boolean Gemini Wormwood Arc edge! Voidfang vestments Memory of Felwinter (artifact, lose your super, 2 nades, 2 melees) With axion grenades of course I just mortared the other team the whole time and then camped with the sword charging in when there was chaos. It was awesome and hilarious.

It brought me out of a month's long retirement from duty. Breaking out golden gun with my fireteam was a blast! I definitely wouldn't say no to one more Mayhem Banner before Destiny 2 releases.
