Special Ammo Nerf
So, I am a titan main, I never used shoulder charge or jug shield. I used a shotgun sometimes, but not often. I miss the days when I could actually use a sniper rifle such as my LDR 5001, or a fusion rifle such as Ether Nova, but now I can't use either of these weapons or anything else except for a sidearm, and now even sidearms get nerfed. I wanted to speak out before but I didn't know what to say, and so i'm coming right out and saying it. The special ammo economy in the crucible is in need of some sort of actual fix instead of just making the wormwood the only thing i get killed by in the crucible. Since the patch changing sidearms, I haven't gotten killed by any other weapon except the wormwood and I honestly can't take it anymore. Bungie please dear god, just undo the loss of special ammo on death, thats all i'm asking. I just want to be able to use a sniper other than icebreaker.

3 RepliesWhy can't you use your LDR or fusion rifle? I use whatever I want all the time and pretty much never use wormwood. Your KD is below average so you are pretty much playing against average to below average competition in the majority of your games. Why is it a problem to get special ammo? It spawns all the time! Special ammo is only a problem for trials guys and guys that want to play like them and not be aggressive.

Boxes spawn every minute. I whole heartedly believe you can hold the X/square button in order to pick up the ammo.

The crucible is in a good place now. A lot of fun fights and if you want special it's usually there or about to be there. Only problem is sidearms I'm not one to call for nerfs but there's a reason they're being used all the time

I completely agree. I took a break from destiny back in early-ish January. I just came back about a week and a half ago... I used to play crucible non stop but I don't even recognize it anymore. I was able to use my special weapons whenever I felt like but now it feels like I'm forced to use it all in my first life. As a sniper whore, I want my ammo back.

9 Replies🙋♂️Umm, the rest of the special weapons work just fine. Their ability to kill has not changed. Snipers still snipe with deadly accuracy, shotguns still kill up close, as they're suppose to and fusions still murder unsuspecting fools. What you mean to say is that sidearms should lose their ammo on death like everything else. Then you'd lose a large number of the bandwagon Crutchbabies running around with their little sidearms because lets be honest, no one used sidearms. Their use was so small and insignificant prior to the nerf that hardly anyone used them. The ammo change was needed but Bungie's refusal to make sidearms and exotics that operate outside of their intended change fall into line with every other special weapons is what created this new round of bandwagon scabs. What really NEEDS to change is this special ammo dependent culture that Bungie created by allowing special ammo to be so readily available the last three years. Special ammo is still readily available they even made your weapon auto load when you pick up a box but it should never have been nor return to what it was from the beginning.

Sorry but I honestly can't see the problem. I just completed the shotgun bounty and had no problems collecting special ammo. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

11 fusion kills in a match the other day. Not hard to get special kills
