Just bought Overwatch. Anything I should know before playing?

Spend some time in the practice range. Get to know the heroes and their abilities. Don't be discouraged by the sheer number of different skill sets and play styles. After a while you'll end up being familiar with them. Overwatch has a lot of variety in terms of hero selection. I might get pinned for that comment. But in my defense, there's A LOT going on in terms of counters and combos and strategies. You can play Overwatch casually and not bother with all that, but you can also play competitively and seriously, finding new tactics, building real teams, and strategizing on the fly. BIG TIP: you can't actually play competitive until you're level 25. Do NOT just jump in there once you reach said level. It's actually very "salty", and yes people will rage on you. Be careful with that. You might even consider making an LFG for newbies in comp mode. It's intense. People rage. If you do play competitive, don't choose a hero to learn them in that mode. Only play those you're comfortable with. Quick play and arcade are great for learning new heroes. You can also play against AI. I prefer not to. It isn't a genuine practice experience in my opinion. Have fun! It's an amazing game for me. I'm on Xbox One. Shoot me an ad if you want an Overwatch buddy. I'm prestige 3, but I would play with you if you wanted.

I wouldn't recommend playing bastion, takes a lot of skill. Genji is really easy to play as long you have a ana or mercy actually doing their job and keeping you healed Play comp ASAP

I recommend watching the Overwatch bits from TomatoGaming on Youtube so that you get a good idea of who is good at what. You wont regret it.

You have range, health, regenerating frontal shield, giant hammer, one shot/environmental kills, AOE ultimate, badass armor, best skins. You literally cannot go wrong with Reinhardt as long as you protec more than attac! Unless your stupid -blam!-ing teammates decide to run past your shield (if anybody who reads this does that, -blam!- you and you deserve what you get, which is hopefully getting mowed by bastion) So basically, play Reinhardt. He's my favorite tank, I love his personality because he's so honorable and pure yet at the same time super aggressive and always up for a fight, he's the perfect and beautiful hardy European

Be nice to your healers. Don't go into random dangerous places and expect to be followed by your healer all of the time. Also please stay on the payload. This is important.
